Dispatch Zimbabwe documents this unprecedented three-night benefit event reuniting members of Dispatch for a weekend around a cause. The music world was rocked when Dispatch became the first independent band to sell-out the legendary arena (three nights no-less)! More importantly, they proved the healing power of music as the band and fans collectively raised funds and awareness for poverty stricken Zimbabwe. Now available in high definition, fans who made it to the concerts (and those who didn't) can experience the magic in the highest quality available!

Awesome HD DVD experience...for the FAN of Dispatch
If you are not a fan of Dispatch or are just totally unfamiliar with their music...then this is not the product for you. If you're curious about their music, I'd highly recommend starting with a couple of their studio albums. If you end up really liking that, and would like to see them "in concert", then this HD DVD would be a good way to go.If you're ALREADY a fan (like me)...and you happen to have HD DVD...then you pretty much MUST own this disc!! Because it was filmed in HD to start with, the visuals are absolutely awesome. For example, with on number, the 3 bandmates head out into the audience of Madison Square Garden and actually perform standing in the aisles a couple of levels up. The camera is able to get in very close and you really pretty much feel you are there. Obviously this is a little exagerration...but the clarity of the HD takes the video concert experience up a significant level. It just simply adds an immediacy that you can't beat. The concert itself is good as well. I think some of their previous live albums have sounded a little tighter (these guys had broken up, after all, and reformed for this fundraiser)...but they are very able musicians and still sound very good. The set list includes all the "musts" from their career. There is some lengthy preconcert, backstage footage that is nothing super special...but again, if you're a fan of these guys, spending any time with them is a plus. This is a due format disc, so the other side does have standard DVD. I did not look at this at all, so I can't tell you anything about it.Again, if you're a Dispatch fan...you really need to give this thing a look-see. I enjoyed the show, and really enjoyed the added bonus of super-sharp HD.

a gift to the fans
what a great concert! it must have been great to be there. A good song selection, and the children from Zimbabwe who appear at some of the songs add some flavor to the well known songs from Dispatch. It is truly a gift from Dispatch to their fans, and a must have in the Dispatch collection. I love the songs, and love the concert. Interesting is the part where the 3 guys go down the stage and play a couple unplugged songs on top of the roof of a minivan in the middle of the stadium.Video and sound quality are great, but I regret there is only one audio mix available, meaning there is no stereo mix available in the Bluray, so you really have to crank up the volume in order to listen.Despite of the audio issue, this is one of my favorite concert blurays.

As if you were really there!
Anyone that is considered a Dispatch or State Radio fan would do well to get this concert on disc. The music and the picture quality is amazing! I have never seen Dispatch play live, but this is the closest I'll ever get. All of their high profile songs are there: Elias, Flying Horses, and of course The General. You not only get to feel the music, you get to see how each of the band members interact with each other. It really was a great experience to watch this and I highly recommend it!

moving
I am a fan of dispatch and after watching this dvd I was blown away. It really gives you an idea of how talented they all are. When they switched instruments i thought "damn these guys are the real deal". If you have never seen them live it is a must, even if it is only on the tv. This dvd will make you almost feel like your there.

WOW!!! Buy it!!
This is my favorite band and will always be my favorite band. Some of the best versions are on this DVD such as flying horses, Waddya wanna be, General, Elias, Bats in the Belfry, and many others. I definitely encourage anyone who has heard, listened, or loves Dispatch, already to buy this DVD. The only problem is that is does not come with the audio CD, but i believe that the HD quality makes up for it!!!!!!

Great concert for fans of Dispatch
This is an awesome blu-ray dvd to add to your collection, if you are a Dispatch fan. It features the trio performing their tracks in a sold-out show in Madison Square Garden. They play in several configurations including electric trio, with the children's choir, and acoustic trio on top of a bus. This is really a treat for Dispatch fans, I recommend that you check it out.

amazing
A very entertaining DVD/CD combo. Very unique sound. Heads up though, make sure you buy the DVD version and not just the CD because they are both out there for sale with the same cover.
