Great Product!!
I had some expensive SRmax work shoes. It was one of those deals where I used it very little but for some reason it wore out on the heel. These shoes look brand new except for that wear. I don't think they're too big maybe the design with the big area in the back, nevertheless it was just uncomfortable. So I searched heel repair on Amazon and found this product. I ordered the set that has two different sizes. Now here are some tips, if you have a removable sole remove it. Try and smooth out flat the torn material in your shoes and keep it flat. So if you have to glue it down slightly do so, or trim it. I put the patch on there first without peeling the adhesive protective film and once I knew exactly how I wanted it I took the film off and applied it in one shot carefully rubbing it across so it's smooth and no wrinkles. On one shoe I use the small one and on the other shoe I had to use the larger one. On the larger one I got it on there just a little and had to lift it and reset it because I didn't line it up just right. I had to do this twice. Finally it was on where it should be and I rubbed it flat. Once it's on reinsert your soles. I think ideally you want the top of the patch to be under that round lip of the shoe, and the bottom of the patch to be as far down to the base of the shoe so when you reinsert the sole it covers it and helps keep it in place. The material is also easy to trim with a pair of scissors to make any custom shape you want however it's better to have more material covering the damaged area so it sticks better. As you can see, it looks perfect. Without shining a light on it you wouldn't tell it's there because it's all black. I can't feel it in my shoes and it has the same texture as the original one. After a week of everyday use, it it still looks perfect. I don't know what others are saying about the adhesive as it's very sticky and sticks great. You'll only have one shot to get it right in most cases. All I can say is make sure it's dry and clean and you should have no problem. I highly recommend it. If I have any pairs of shoes that are expensive or I even think that the heels aregoing to rub, I'm putting them on just as a protective layer.Update, 4 months and still stuck on good! Even went thru the wash and dryer! Now note, the shoes NEED to be clean! Glue down the remaining torn material before applying the patch, trim off any loose remaining material, then place patch. Use a larger patch for larger areas. If it doesn't overlap it sufficiently it won't work well. I'm very impressed. Placed them as I've stated on a new expensive pair of Brooks sneakers. I'm placing these on any new shoes I even think it may wear out on the heal, it's cheap insurance.

They Work! Worth the Modest Price tag to Extend the Life of you Favorite Shoe!
I was pleasantly surprised at how well these adhesive patches worked! I was skeptical that they would stay adhered to the back inside heel part of my "sneakers". I affixed them to Garmont approach-shoes, which definitely gets alot of wear & tear from backpack weight and and also scrambling up and down steep trails. Two months in and they are holding their own; haven't become unattached. The rest of the shoe is fine, so these are extending itse overall life.Just make sure you don't adhere them too high up on the back of the shoe. Position them so that the top is clearly below the upper edge of the shoe's heel. If they are up too high on the back of the heelbox, the top will start to un-adhere. When in doubt, keep 'em low.

Worked in one shoe, but not the other
I have a set of boots that are, shall we say, well-loved. I tried these patches to give them just a little more life. The patch in the left boot worked fine, but the patch in the right boot that was the more critical patch peeled right off the first time I put my foot in.

Recovered my hiking shoes!
The heel counters of my Keene low hiker shoes were breaking down and poking me through the material. After removing the shoe insole, the fractured plastic parts and cleaning the sock fuzz out of the area the shoe was ready for the patch. The adhesive on these is Very sticky so once you put it somewhere in the shoe it will stay. If you peel it up to reposition, it won’t stay in place the second time. I held a slight roll in the patch, so that it would more conform to the shape of the back of the shoe, pressed it into place and held it for a moment. Some adhesive gets stronger if left alone for a bit. I don’t know if this patch is that way, but the patch hasn’t peeled or wrinkled in the week or so of wearing the shoe when I left it overnight before wearing. The shoes are wearable and comfortable again! There are sufficient patches to do at least 2pair of shoes with extra pieces. I’ve done 2 pairs and both are comfortable again.

Made well and saved a pair of boots
I am very pleased with outcome of this product and would definitely order them again! Instead of throwing a pair of boots away, I was able to repair them and keep using them. There made well, and have a strong adhesive bond.
