Free delivery and returns on all eligible orders. Review: a must have device and not a gimmick. - Amazing! I wanted this more for club head speed rather than club distances to start with as I was confused how I carry a 7 iron with 30.5 deg loft 165 yards consistently via trackman with SS 88-90 mph but my driver distance was poor at about 200-220, I thought there was something not right. This device revealed with swinging without a ball that my Swing speed with the driver was only 86-88 mph on average and 92 when I swung as hard as I coukd. The readings were consistent and correlated to the SS Vs driver distance on all the charts therefore I knew it was fundamentally something wrong with my swing technique with the driver. The next day I concentrated on the body moves and and mental image of where to release the club via internet and this device gives instant feedback what swing moves increase club head speed without the inconvenience of hitting a ball. In a 1 hour session experimenting, I got my swing speed up to 102mph and when I slipped back to old ways now and again, you can see the swing speed drop to what it was which shows the device is very consistent. I can't praise this device enough, especially at this price range and the fact that you can take it on the course with you too and it's so small and mobile. A must have for any keen golfer at any level. This device is not a gimmick! It's annoying when sellers keep the same listing when a newer model comes out, which is what happened here. The previous HS-120A version did not have Km/h and m but the newer 2021 version (HS-130A) does. The newer version also has 2 sensors instead of 1, more information on the screen and improved algorithms apparently. **Q: Device just arrived and no protective case/pouch or batteries as advertised!** A: Yes you should have as advertised batteries, a pouch, and an instruction manual **Q: I use a sim 3 hybrid, can someone tell me which club option that is, is it u3? also, i have a 58 degree lw, which club option do i use for this?** A: U3 & SW should be the settings. W1: Driver W3-W9: #3 - #9 Fairway wood U3-U6: #3 - #6 Utility or Hybrid I3 - I9: #3 - #9 Iron PW: Pitching Wedge AW: Gap or Approach Wedge SW: Sand Wedge If you are seeing the club symbol the device should be set to golf mode. If you are seeing lower swing speeds, setting it to the correct club can help. I would also recommend trying some different positioning of the monitor. For example if your swing is more inside then out you may want to angle the monitor slightly left or right to match the angle of impact. If you are doing practice swings with a golf club, the monitor will work best if you hit it exactly as you would a real swing with a mat or tee to swing against. I hope that this information helps. **Q: What’s the battery life like?** A: I've had mine for 10 days, used it every day for approx 1-2 hours each day and the battery indicator is still at full. Using Duracell. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a must have device and not a gimmick. *by A***A on 30 December 2020* Amazing! Simple but effective! My only issue is that I bought a pack of Duracell batteries which were listed by Amazon under frequently bought together only to find they’re the wrong size. AA were listed and that’s what I got, however the unit takes AAA size batteries - my fault for not checking I guess, but I feel Amazon should check too before listing on the item links. ## Frequently Bought Together - PRGR HS 130-A Portable Golf Launch Monitor | Doppler Radar Measures Club & Ball Speed, Smash Factor, Total & Carry Distance | Tracks Swing Speed Training Aids - FitSand Travel Hard Case for PRGR HS 130-A Portable Golf Launch Monitor - Zeadio Metal Mini Tripod, Desktop Tabletop Stand Compact Tripod for Smooth 4, Osmo Mobile, Vimble 2, Gimbal Handle Grip Stabilizer and All Cameras Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/336359049-portable-golf-launch-monitor](https://www.desertcart.be/products/336359049-portable-golf-launch-monitor) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
