I've been using this now for about two months now. We really like it, the lid is snug enough not to allow any oder out. You do need two hands to open it but mine is easy enough to open. I would recommend a little more weight be added to the bottom because I added a 2 oz magnet to the bottom and it greatly improved the handling. The other thing I would suggest to the manufacturer is to offer a larger size also for people who compost a lot of peelings every day.

The lid is so incredibly tight fitting, that should you need to open it with scraps already inside, it would end in some sort of Lucille Ball/Three Stooges sketch. And then when you finally get the top off? Good luck getting it back on. The lettering on the front of the canister was also smeared and marred....returned for a full refund.

My wife didn't like walking out to the composter every time she needed to grow something out so I got this. She loves it. We keep it under the sink and pull it out when we are preparing food. I dump it every couple days.

We love this cute container! It looks good on our counter in our kitchen. It isn't very big, but we have a larger compost just for the chickens hid away in an old trash compactor. This smaller bit keeps the egg shells and coffee grounds for the garden separate from the chickens' scraps. It really is a nice item. Absolutely love it!

After a few weeks of use I can attest that this product cuts down on odor with the design of the lid. It also blends into my wall very well so it is less intrusive than other bins I have used, but is distinct enough to be seen. We have actually received compliments on it...never thought that would happen over a compost bin in my kitchen!

I get this as a Christmas gift for my in-laws. They were excited about it but I later noticed they weren't using it. I asked my significant other why they stopped then found out that it was attracting fruit flies which all their other compost bins did not. I believe they threw it away. Hopefully I can find a better gift for them next year.

The lid is tooooo tight

This is exactly what I was looking for. It's small and unimposing, and looks really cute on my kitchen counter. I'm just using it for coffee grounds (which I dump on my blue hydrangea), and it's the perfect size to collect a week of grounds. And the tight lid is secure and keeps the smell in. A great buy!
