It might not happen for 6 months or a year and then happen 3 times in an hour causing me to shut the power to the stove off in the basement for a while. Also, and increasingly the oven was not getting up to temp. The temp gauge would start ticking upwards and then instantly jump up over 100 degrees to the set temp. Opening the oven indicated that it could not be anywhere near 425 or whatever. I bought this part because YouTube showed it to be an easy fix. However, when I pulled out the wire, the plastic connector on the end was fried. So, I opened the back of the stove and the wire it connects to also had a melted connector. But the wires must have been making some contact all this time. At this point, I broke down and called the repairman. I guess I did the right thing because he said that you cannot just replace the white wire in the back, but rather it would be the entire wire harness. He spliced the wires together and the sensor now works perfectly. I assume the plastic clips melted years ago during a self-clean ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Functional replacement for WB21T10004 *by N***Y on 15 December 2018* My GE built-in Double Oven had been trouble free for well over a decade then over a period of year it seemed to not get hot enough. Basically the temps we set the oven for "appeared" to hold; however, the items had to be cooked longer to achieve desired outcomes. Suddenly one day the oven spontaneously shut down and gave a "F2" error. I shut the oven down restarted and it appeared to work fine. Then over the course of the next few weeks it would suddenly shut down without any error message. I read some commentary here on Amazon and elsewhere stating that this thermo-sensor could be bad. I couldn't find the exact part number but someone had done the footwork to learn that this part is the replacement for the old part. Replacing the sensor was surprisingly easy. Simply turn off the oven at the circuit breaker. (I did have to remove the front oven door to gain easier access which you may not have to). Remove the single screw holding the sensor. I had to remove the upper heating element (did not disconnect the wiring just the hardware so it can be pulled away from the rear of the oven) so the connector could be accessed easier. Disconnect the old sensor and plug in the new sensor. Reattach all the parts. Bam! Fixed! Turn on the breaker and test the oven. It has been three weeks and the oven has been continuously used for baking and cooking for the holidays. The oven now seems to be holding the proper temps as determined by IR thermometer.
