works great.. I use them for camp cooking for when i use alcohol stoves or a fire box type stove it controls the heat and stops the flame from turning my cooking pots black. I even made a pot cover using of the mats, many uses not just for cooking.

I love these BBQ Gill Mats! I was really excited to try these. We grill out often and habe never tried grilling mats. I was worried the flavor may be different or the meat wouldn't cook evenly. Boy was I wrong. We grilled chicken on them the first time and pork chops the next time. They turned out awesome and the best part about it was the clean up. These mats are easy to clean and store nicely. These are reasonably priced and would make a great gift for anyone who likes to grill. I received these at a discounted price for my honest unbiased review which I have given.

I washed them off as was instructed on the box and took them directly to the gas grill.If you read the instructions and the box they came in, they sound sort of delicate. Don't use sharp utensils, don't expose to heat greater than 500 degrees, prolonged high heat may damage mat, use only low to medium heat… so I took it easy on it.Problem is my grill don’t really have low heat. Yea, it’s old and decrepit. So I threw on some chicken, and watched it closely. It turned out great, besides some issues trying to grill with one hand and video with the other... The second time is another story, I was not so careful. Remember the not working so well in low. Yea, well. I threw the mats on and tossed on some burgers and brats just to see how those would cook up, then went inside and got distracted… I came back outside to an inferno. The grease had caught fire both below the mats and on top. I grabbed a cup of water and doused the flames and dropped the lid while it all subsided. I expected the worst when I popped the top again. To my surprize, it all looked ok. I finished the burgers and brats and removed the mats from the grill. When I brought them inside to clean, they cleaned right up. I looked them over real careful like and did not find any damage. Now I don't advise you torture test yours like I did, but if it happens….. You should be ok. I do see this kind of thing happening more than once in my future, so if I do manage to destroy them I will keep this updated and inform you of what happened and how I managed to do it :-)But in the meantime, I’d say that this is a good buy and performs well and better than advertisedPros: Keeps the grill clean Mat cleans up with wet rag, dish soap at most Non stick Easily slide food around to accommodate warm / cold spots. Holds up better than I thought. Works great for grilling / warming some veggies on the bbq.Cons: If mat gets creased, It stays. (to be fair, the instructions say not to fold or crease) DO NOT light grill with mats in place. I lost some arm hair doing this...I received this product at a discount for my honest and unbiased review
