Effective economical rack the has already proven itself an awesome value.
I purchased this because buying and having to use extra items for nonstandard bike frames extremely annoys me especially when few of our bikes for that mold. The first install/use is time consuming as you must adjust the hooks and straps to work for your bikes. The following uses are much quicker. I love that the rack slides the outer two bike mounts out. This eases the loading and also allows me to get my bike out of the inside rack at the hotels without removing all the other bikes. We just got back from a trip to the U.P. (Ya betcha!) and about a 1500 mile round trip and the rack was secure and without an issue during transit. The only complaint I have is that with the hooks staggered it sometimes doesn’t allow the foam wraps on the rack to between all the bike frames and rack. Other than that I have no complaints to this point.

Worked like a charm
The fam was heading out for our first camping trip. The kiddos' friends were bringing their bikes to the campsite. So natch, our kids wanted to bring their bikes, too. Doing a bit of research (I have not had a bike rack for over 15 years ;P) I came across the Resse Sportwing Rack. Here's what I needed:1. It needed to hold 2 small kids bikes- possibly 4 bikes total in the future- research led me to 'platform racks'2. Standard racks with arms that stick out (parallel to the ground) were a no go for now (see #1)3. Had to be relatively easy to install (not scare off the wife)- light-weight preferred- minimal parts (I lose stuff)4. Affordable- I am not about to spend $1000+ on a bombproof aluminum-titanium-hyper-engineered work of art.5. Durable- It should last at least a summer or two.6. Secure- This was a bonus IMO...- I was willing to sacrifice this as I don't expect us to have unattended bikes on the rackHow does the Reese rack rate? tl;dr: awesome. checked all the important boxes.1. Held the kiddos bikes and got em to and from the campsite all safe and secure.- I like that there are 2 sections so you have the option of running 1 or 2 sets of arms (2 bikes per set of arms)- For this trip, we just used the main section and left the "extension" at home- There was no rattling or noise- The bike and rack did not affect the driving characteristics of the car- Minor thing, the bikes on the rack to block the backup camera (I mean, duh... it's a hitch rack)2. Yup. check. Bikes fit. Rack works.3. Super easy to assemble and install- 10 mins. tops.- Rack was nicely packaged and arrived in perfect condition.- My 6yo assembled it: pinned the arms, screwed on the hooks and staps. Then proceeded to tell me how to mount it to the hitch... slow down Sparky. **I** did have to tighten everything up AND I held the arm bar for him.- The trickiest part is picking which hole to mount the hooks to, cuz they have to align w/ the top+center of the bike wheels4. Pricewize this rack is near the low end- But it's a solid piece. Good bang for the buck.5. How durable is it? The powdercoat is nice. Paired with an anti-rattle hitch pin, everything held together perfectly fine. No loose/missing parts along the way- I expect the velcro straps to deteriorate- I expect the rubber straps and foam covering the tire hooks to not last very long/need replacing6. Secure? No.- You can run a locking hitch pin.- You can run a cable or something through the bike frames and attach to the small loop on the bottom of the racks main bar...All in all, this does what I need it to do. It helps me make my kids happy -- to go places and ride bikes with their friends. That's winning :)One last note: if you have an suv or minivan or even a pickup truck, don't expect to be able to access your cargo area with bikes on the rack. You might consider adding a swing out, or hitch extension to create clearance to open rear doors/tailgates. Just something to consider.

Fell apart
I loved this carrier when I first got it. Worked great for three mountain bikes and a kid's bike. Used it twice a year ago, on 5 hour drives behind our rv, without issue. So this year on our third trip out with it, we hooked it up and away we went. An hour into the drive, people started driving up to us pointing to the rear of the rv. So we pulled over and looked. The pins holding the carrier up had bent, and the bikes were bouncing on the road ready to fall off. Took them of the carrier and find two bent pegs. Wow. Disaster averted. Someone could have been killed. I only lost two mountain bike wheels, and tires, and one break caliper bent. Wish I could do more than just a bad review.

A MUST have for family cyclists
I can't think of a better design idea for carrying different types of bikesThe fact that this is in 2 relatively light segments is great if you have a family member who isn't that strong (like a smaller wife) , they can set this up without having 'daddy around'....then it's versatile because the 2nd part can be added to carry 4there are 2 things i would change1-add steel loops to allow the bikes to be locked to the rack...i don't see how the Reese missed this2-make the wheel rests spring loaded so making adjustments would be easier...but that really is minor

Very useful and fits my 27.5 + tires
When I got my trek roscoe it was hard to fit in my standard hitch mouted rack. This works perfectly. Have only tried 2 bikes thus far. But can add on the other piece to carry 4
