Crochet Starter Guide: How To Crotchet Paperback – August 29, 2013

I'm not sure who can learn to crotchet without illustrations.

Well, the glaring spelling mistake in the title is a definite red flag as to the quality of this book. Yes, there are no diagrams which led me to believe that the instructions would have been explained more clearly but how wrong I was. Fortunately I had also bought another book which is well written and illustrated.The style of writing is very amateur without any thought into the presentation and the language is very high school with words such as "gotten" which is one of my bug bears. There is too much unnecessary introduction into the content of each heading which caused me to wonder whether I was actually reading the right topic. The whole book could have been condensed into a smaller booklet at a much cheaper price. Please, don't waste your money; pay a little more and buy a much better quality book. This one is going in the recycle bin. It is the worst book I have ever bought and is just not worthy of a charity shop donation.

I found instructions easy to follow and patterns were good starter ones.Written with good explanations of how to read pattern and abbreviations.

Disappointing as there were no photographs which would have made it easier.
