Finally a Solution!
I really think this helps! With my already sucky immune system, I got to the point where I was getting cold sores once a month! I tried lysine pills, Abreva, putting ice cubes at first sign of tingle, and pills prescribed by my doctor (which I was allergic to...). Nothing really worked. Finally, I went to Amazon and bought 3 different high-rated creams, this one included. And this one is my favorite! Now, when I feel a cold sore coming on, I put this on multiple times a day and take lysine pills. Those together have seemed to do the trick because the last 3 times, they've been gone in a day or 2! Life changing!I like the feel of it. When on, it is shinier but looks like lip gloss or something. However, I took one star off because the packaging makes it more difficult to get the cream out of the tube!

Would buy again
It's a decent product. I used it on my lips all the time and it leaves my lips feelings very nice and healed. Not sure if it actually helps cold sores. I got it because most chapsticks (like Burts Bees) create pimples around my lips. I have had no pimples or cracked lips since using this product. The tube is little tricky though. I have to warm the tube with my hands before using it, or else it is impossible to get any out!

This stuff is my favorite!
Ok, if you get frequent cold sores you know that the best way to combat this horribleness is by taking cold sore meds the second you feel a tingle. BUT if you also start this ointment in conjunction with cold sore meds it's an amazing combo. As some who has tried everything and I'm not kidding I even bought something that supposedly zaps them, I have found this ointment to be amazing. If I chap my lips, sunburn them or I bite my lip wrong I'm prone to a cold sore. I put this ointment on the minute something like that happens and I'm good to go. I have had less cold sores since I have bought this treatment. But get a doc to write a prescription too.

I cannot say this product actually did anything to help a recent fever blister. It did help relieve the pain somewhat but the blister still took the normal 7-8 days to heal. And yes, I applied it at the first "tingling" sensation.

Wonderful Works Perfect
Works great. If you get a little tingle and put it on right away nothing breaks out! Wonderful not sure how quickly it heals an out break but I have not had one so it's absolutely amazing

Needs to be a balm
I could only give this product 3 stars, because while I did like it, it is typically too solid to dispense. Or, if I warm it up, it then just runs out. This type of product would be best as a balm, not in a tube.

The metal tube is a less than desirable packaging option as the cream squishes out of the bottom, but the contents is great and works very quickly.
