OMGOSH this is so great! I have a small house with little storage, and kids with a million toys. My daughter has a large easel since she was more into painting and then the fighting starts with the boy, "where is mine, why don't I have one etc" and we simply do not have room for two of them. For their birthdays we do paint parties like the paint bars but for kids and just simply can not prop up all the canvas's SOO these are so fantastic! They are great for space savers and are highly efficient. They do not slip or slide and hold up the canvas perfectly for the kiddos and / or adults to paint away. Although good quality I do find it is very over-priced for what it is, but it does the job well.

We purchased this as a gift for my 10 year old daughter. She asked for arts and craft stuff for Christmas, and this we thought would be perfect for her to paint canvas. It works well. It holds the canvas so she can paint upright and hands free. Its simple, but very functional. It is 2 different pieces, so you can slide them as needed for the size of your canvas. We were painting 8x10 and 11x17 and it worked great for both those sizes. Overall it worked just how we wanted it to.

This compact easel works really well and is much easier to work with as it doesn't sit higher than the table top, which is a plus for me since I like to sit while I'm painting. Also, because I don't have a dedicated area in which to paint, I am thrilled at the ease of carrying and storing this easel. Very nice.For the people who may be scared off by comments about the smell associated with the pads on the bottoms of the easel, Don't be concerned. I am often bothered by smells, so I sniffed first thing when I removed the protective covering; there was very little smell up really close and personal, and I never noticed the smell again.

This is the cutest easel holder. I gave it four stars, though, because it doesn't come with a canvas. However, it does hold canvases well. It's wood, so I was nervous about it being shipped, but it arrived with no damages. It truly is non-slip. I have already worked on a few projects, and I have not had a problem. It stores easily so I can pull out new projects when I'm not painting. Everything, from ease of storage to ease of use, make this a handy little easel for the table top.

This easel is almost perfect. It is lightweight, small and so easy to use. It works with most any size canvas. As I painted towards the bottom I was able to move the easel to different widths away from wet paint. The only thing it does not have that would make it perfect is a non-slid bottom. I had to hold onto one of the pieces while painting to keep the painting from moving away. It is such a simple design but really works!

Aside from the incredible chemical odor the wood has, this easel is perfect for my little desk and on the go. Upon opening it, the smell immediately filled my room and I worry that the intense smell can be a bit offensive to people passing me by. I tried washing it thoroughly and soaked it in linen wash but that only seemed to fade the wood. So my next trick is to paint it with silly colors and seal the paint to block the smell. It's an amazingly simple and thoughtful invention tho. I love it so much! :)

I like the light, portable tabletop easel idea, but the non-slip rubber has a terrible chemical smell that I can not stand, I can even smell it across the room :(and as an improvement, it would be nice to have a small adapter for thinner panels.I don't know if it would hold up while painting, I left the product out in the patio to air it out, I hope the smell goes away so we can use it, otherwise I will be worried about the chemical smell for sure :(Update: I left it outside for 3 days and the bad smell from the non-slip rubber is still there! :( I don't think I will be using it anytime soon :(

Some reviews mentioned a smell, but when my sister used them there wasn't any chemical odor. The difference might be because she was painting outside rather than in a confined space. She did not mind the angle and as it doesn't take up much room for storage so it was perfect fit for us. I would recommend if you are looking for simply a small and convenient easel. She was painting sitting down. That might have made a difference for the one review who did not like the angle, that or perhaps a height difference in the person painting? I hope this helps.
