Mother Earth News Unknown Binding

I love this magazine. It has a heavy glossy cover. The pages are heavyweight glossy with full color photos. Tons of information and how-to's which is why I subscribe to it. I moved to the country 2 yrs ago and need help getting into the groove of making efficient use of the land and living in a healthier way. Remembered this publication from the 70's and was excited it is still very much an active publication. Very grateful to the founders and those who have continued a very necessary tool for those of us who love "Mother Earth". Thank you!

My wife and I have had a subscription to Mother Earth News for a few years now. This is the first time I have ever ordered a magazine subscription through Amazon. It always arrives on time.I like that MENews combines the hippy dippy with the old-school farmer. There are new ideas and tried and true methods. It is nice to see new ideas and also nice to know that the old ways are being preserved - perhaps even updated and built upon using new technology.I like to see the two seemingly opposite worlds come together without going into a bunch of political, agenda-driven nonsense. It is a fine line to travel and MENews does a good job staying away from politics and just providing helpful information to people who depend on themselves, their ingenuity, and others who share a similar point of view.

I am very pleased with this order! Didn’t think I would recieve my first issue until after the first of the new year, as per notice. But I have already gotten my first issue. I love these magazines, so informative. Love the gardening articles and diy projects!

I had recently decided not to renew my subscription because of the app-only digital subscription I can't use, but then I started reading reviews. Mother Earth News impressed me by not cowing to people who see truth about black contributions to agriculture as "political" and "Orwellian???" (George Washington Carver, crop rotation & compost anyone?). I've ordered the new subscription directly from MEN to make sure they get as much money from my subscription as possible. May also send out some gift subscriptions as well. Meanwhile, I'll happily flip through the pages (even the ads) knowing people who desperately want to bury these historical facts can't.

As I've enjoyed living-off-the-land kinds of stuff since I was a teenager, this magazine was an amazing find in my early 20s only to find out my mother had been reading it for years! Their articles are interesting, inspiring, and encouraging. I think a lot of their ideas are very do-able, although some are difficult if you don't have the land. The only negative thing I'd have to say about it is that some of their issues/articles seem a little redundant. Overall, though, I enjoy reading these issues, some of them over and over. They really appeal to the earth roots personality.

.. to when we were not so consumer oriented. Make it yourself. Many of the articles are not usable for us (no plans on raising chickens; will not be solar heating water, etc). Every issue has some topic that I'll tear out and save - gardening, recipes, solar improvements, etc. Magazine is recommended for everyone. You'll be surprised at your reaction when flipping through the pages.. 'just thinking about that yesterday' and you'll have the answer or suggestions

Focused and themed to gardners, living off the grid and self sustained living. With good organic food sourcing there's also outreach to urban gardening and doing well with very little a area to work with.

My first issue of MOTHER EARTH NEWS arrived a few days ago and it covered so many subjects I am interested that I felt it was written for me!I had occasionally purchased issues I ran across on a newsstand--but that was very hit - or - miss, Subscribing was a very wise choice for me.Articles are interesting and informative . Whether you want to go "off the grid" or just want gardening tips and recipes, I recommend you check out this enjoyable resource.
