Very good economical product. Works perfectly, bell tone, sound and video are good quality. You can check who's at your door, hear, see and open the electric lock from the intercom. I did the installation my self and it took around 45 minutes using cables that where installed in the structure of a concrete column. For video and audio I used insulated cat5, 2 pairs for each. For ground, power and electric lock I used 22 awg solid copper insulated wire. Unit was installed in a "will be office" that's still under construction, where the main door entrance is on the first floor and faces right out to the street. The office is on a second floor, so the intercom was a necessity for security purposes and for future office workers to not have to go continuously down the stairs to check who's at the door. Everything works perfectly and the system seems to be very reliable at least up to the moment... I'm not too sure how waterproof the out side unit actually is, or how much damage a sprinkle may do to the outside unit, so for protection to the system and additional security I installed a custom made stainless steal cover to the outside unit. This is a very good system and very affordable comparatively, I definitely recommend it.

Worked as advertised. We bought this to replace a wireless video intercom system. The advantage for this system is its large and clear video screen and clear sound. The night vision camera also work well. Because it is hard wired unit, it requires some one to crawl into the attic to pull the wire. Which brings us to the negatives of this system. The included wire is relatively short (5M) and is not long enough to allow us to install the indoor unit where we wanted it. I had to buy a separate longer wire for it. Secondly, the camera on the outdoor unit doesn't turn or swivel, unlike my older wireless unit. So after it was installed, we discovered that it only showed a person's shoulder when someone stands in front of the door. The handy man had to come back and re-install the camera at an angle.

Installed this a few months ago, above my front door at an angle to allow a wider view as I was installing this at the patio front entrance and wanted to see more of the patio. I adjusted the camera angle by installing the camera unit on a piece of plywood and adjusting the plywood angle before installing to the wall. Installation was straightforward, wiring was just inserting factory wicked color coded wires into spring loaded connectors. The camera lens was good enough for me to see packages placed right at the door and also the whole patio area in clear detail.The video was extremely clear, even at night with the lights off, and microphone was strong enough for conversation without having to open the door. I am very happy with this, now there is no need to open the door for someone I dont know, esp for solicitors, who get startled when they hear me talking but dont see the camera because it is installed above the door. Definitely recommend this for those who dont want to open their door for strangers.

I have read other reviews before I purchased this item, and noticed a few mistakes. The wire needed between the doorbell and the monitor needs to have 4 wires. The standard 2 (1 pair) bell wire will not work. The package comes with a 4 wire, but would need to be retrofitted. The picture is pretty good for the price range, and the night vision is a little grainy, but you can still make out faces in the dark. I gave it four stars because it is a good peice of equipment for the price range.

Great system for my purposes, replaced existing voice-only intercom from front doorbell. Good visual clarity, acceptable even in darkness; and I like that I can hear the person at my gate without acknowledging that I'm home.. great for keeping away pesky salesmen. I have this wired to an electronic latch release, so I can unlock the gate and allow visitors to enter the inner courtyard while staying behind a closed and locked entry door.

This product is a problem to install. In the discription it did not say it was wired. And in the review of this product it showed 2 extra wires which i did not get so i could not hock it up to my vedio door bell. Because mine was hard wired. It is a night mare. There need to be a better discription and some place u can call for help.

This is a wonderful system! I have no peep-hole in my hurricane-proof door and no nearby window to see who is knocking on my door. I had someone install this for me. The picture is color, super clear! The actual monitor blends well on my wall and looks attractive. This is a super value and superior item. I am in South Florida and the heat and rain have had no negative impact on the outdoor camera. The sound/audio is excellent.

If there was an option for negative stars It would be that. I received this item today and was extremely annoyed and disappointed. when I open the box I noticed their original packaging had some kind of beverage stain on it so obviously it had been used. I open the package and noticed it looks a little disorganized and the foam wraps for the device was torn on the sides. The device itself looks cheap and flimsy, I was expecting something of at least decent quality for 100 plus dollars! The instruction was easy and clear but when I put it together it didn't WORK!! Really?! I paid for a cheap non opera-table product, wow what a scam! Now I have to go through the hassle of shipping it back and waiting for my full refund.
