Poor quality recording of great singers
It's a live recording with horrendously uneven sound. Often you can't even hear the symphony, then the voice or the audience applause blasts you. I had to turn my CD player as high as it would go at times, and down low at other times. The audience applause is always loud, but the symphony and voices come and go. Pathetic quality of sound mixing. I immediately put this CD in my garage sale stuff.

Love this CD
I owned this same CD for a few years and thought I had lost it so ordered this one as a replacement. I since found the old one, but kept this one for the car.

Exceptionally beautiful music...even if you're not Irish!
I am Irish, and a big fan of Irish music. In fact, my brother in law is a professional Irish singer! So, I have had a great deal of exposure to Irish music and I think that this Irish Tenors album is by far the best I've ever heard. Of course, it has the old standbys - Danny Boy and When Irish Eyes are Smiling. But Ronan Tynan's version of "The Town I Loved So Well" is so beautiful you'd swear angels were singing. I'm sure Phil Coulter wrote it to sound this way! And the renditions of "Grace", "Only Your Rivers Run Free," and "The Old Man" are amazing. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who loves beautiful music!

The best of the Irish tenors music
You have to hear this to believe it. "Only our rivers run free" gives you a view of what the irish have suffered. If, like me you've lost your father "The old man" will bring tears. I bought this for "Toora-Loora-Looral", my father was half irish and a tenor, my earliest memories include him singing this as he walked thru the house in the morning. "Galway Bay" is a lovely song. "Voyage" is well known and loved. Listen to "Grace"for a soul stiring message of love. It can't possibly get better than this, can it?

Stunningly Elegant!!
While eating a late evening meal with my very Irish wife, we happened upon a PBS production of The Three Irish Tenors. As an avid listener of "the other " three tenors, I was enthralled by the majesty of these three Irish virtuosi! When it came time for my favorite part of the meal, dessert, I had no need because I had just been treated to an extraordinary and surprising repast! Their music, a rich blend of nostalgic, melancholic and mischievous Irish ballads, made us alternately smile and weep. We can't wait to get our own "taste of Ireland!"

Beautiful voices, beautiful music
The Irish Tenors sing songs that I've loved, but had forgotten. Some of the renderings are so lovely that they brought tears to my eyes: "Believe Me (If All Those Endearing Young Charms)," "I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen," "Danny Boy," and "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling". I had never heard "The Old Man" before, but it brought back memories of my own father. In just a few weeks, I've listened to this album over and over again. Worth every penny of the purchase price.

Should be 10 stars...
These guys are incredible! Whoever brought them together deserves a medal. All have incredible voices and vibrant personalities--John is the Celtic heart, Anthony is the heart-throb, and Ronan is inspiration. I've always loved "Danny Boy," and John's rendition now tops my list. Warning: Get out your Kleenex when "Danny Boy" starts...there is a whole string of sad songs in the middle of the album!

The Irish Tenor sing to us all
These singers are just a step higher than most tenors I've heard. After my husband died I would listen to the the Irish Tenors concerts over and over again as a huge comfort to my wounded soul.If you want to find beautiful and fun music this is the album to buy.

The Irish Tenors
The Irish Tenors Disappointing. Didn't realise it is a live show recording. Poor really, in my opinion, in comparison with the Three Priests. The Irish Tenors
