Video to hear WHY SC Cornhole is my choice
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I got the SC Cornhole bags even though I owned Barcaloo bags All-Weather Cornhole Bags - Set of 4 Bean Bags for Corn Hole Game I needed another set and wanted to know which one is better? My personal favorite is the SC Cornhole - Weather Resistant Cornhole Bags by SC Cornhole (Red/Yellow) and there are lots of color choices. Both products I reviewed meet the official size and weight standards BUT SC Cornhole version is made with 12-ounce durable duck canvas and it is so obvious when you are holding them in your hands and when you toss. Plus SC Cornhole has a more subdued thud when landing on the game board instead of the whack made by Barcaloo brand.Don't get me wrong though because the Barcaloo bags are great and I was happy with them UNTIL I got the SC Cornhole models above to compare them with. The Barcaloo use a synthetic corn inside which is literally shaped like corn kernel so it feels more realistic in that sense but the lighter oz duck canvas makes for a limpy feel and it noisy when landing on the wood board. My personal preference for both feel and sound was SC Cornhole. If Barcaloo ever uses the heavier 12-ounce weight duck canvas I think I might change my favorite over to Barcaloo because of the corn shaped synthetic pellets would be nice from the feeling perspective and heavier duck canvas would make for the softer sound which I prefer.

Not very accurate
I threw all eight bags and not a single one went into the hole! What's up with that???But aside from the accuracy problem, the bags are terrific. They feel solid and after probably a hundred games, they only feel better. I originally purchased another brand for less money (that'll teach me to be so freakin' cheap). One bag burst on the third inning. The second burst midway through the second game. I purchased these the next day.Everyone says that they just "feel right" and they even believe their game improved. Since more people in my crowd are playing, I just built a second set of boards and ordered a second set of these bags.I just wish they came with a carrying drawstring tote bag.

This is NOT a paid or compensated review! These bags are great and very uniform
I was really skeptical when researching these bags as most companies have quite a bit of 1 star ratings and this one had very few. I read the 1 star and 2 star reviews to find a common issue and found two I was concerned about - stitching coming loose and inconsistent bag weight. Since all the others had more negative reviews for the same thing I crossed my fingers and bought these and paid full price. I got them in last night and I will say I can see where the stitching could be an issue on the corners at the one side where the stitching is exposed, as the material is folded there and thicker. I may be proactive before I use these and throw some extra stitches on the corners just so it does not come open during our big "tournament". But, as far as the individual weight variance concern, I measured each with my digital kitchen scale and got exactly 15.8 oz on all but one, and that one was 15.9 oz. I can't imagine getting any more uniform than that. The fabric looks heavy duty, and should hold up fine. Also, recent counterfeiting claims was a concern, but the box had SC Cornhole on it, and recessed into the stitching of each bag was a small tag with their website address. Yes, these are more expensive, but are well made, uniform weight, and the plastic should maintain the weight over the years much better than corn (plus, I live in the country where these would be pre-packaged mice snacks eventually).

These bags defy gravity!
Starting with the very first game that I played with these bags, I noticed they seemed to get hung up, and didn't drop through the hole. I had at least one that totally straddled the hole (as in covered the entire hole) with the four corners of the bag touching the edge of the hole, without dropping down through the hole! I'm looking at it thinking "How did this not drop through the hole?" So, at first I thought that maybe it was because they were new and the material was still pretty stiff. But here we are six months later and the bags have gotten looser, but they still defy gravity. The bags are kind of flimsy because they don't seem to have a lot of fill in them,so a lot of the time they will hang half way over the edge -SEE THE ATTACHED PICS. I've played at my brother's and other places where the bags seemed fully stuffed, and never had this problem. I'm real tempted to buy another set of bags. I'm really starting to hate these.

Poor stitching , made in Thailand for a different company.
I cannot give a full review of these bags as I own a woodworking business and these bags are for a set of boards a customer ordered and the company i purchase all my bags from couldnt get a weather proof set to me in the time frame i needed but i will say i have purchsed over 200 sets from my normal company and these bags are not even close to the same quality. Just by looking and handling them I am sure they will not hold up to heavy play. The stitching is not of quality and the seams are not folded on one of the edges not to mention that the tag sewed on the bags states they are made in thailand for another company besides SC Cornhole. I will be getting a set from my normal supplier on the way for my customer so they have a quality set when these fail.

Stitches split after 5 minutes of play.
Very disappointed, ordered these because of all the great reviews, they appear nice upon arrival but are actually constructed very poorly. They didn't even double stitch the visible stitch in the bags. After playing with them for 5 minutes one seam split completely open. We were camping and thankfully I had a sewing kit with me and was able to sew them back together. See picture, I added the black stitches because the original orange stitching came out about 2 inches and would have continued to split open if it had not been mended. My set was made in Thailand. For the price these should be much better constructed!

Great Craftsmanship
These cornhole bags arrived in great time and have been used and used by many folks. The construction is excellent and design is exactly what I was looking for. I am particularly glad I chose these water resistant bags since we have encountered rain several times while using them. They stood up wonderfully to the rain and were ready to go after allowing them to dry. Great product.
