Great box but......
First off.....made in America, I bought this box vs the others based solely on that. Box is well made looks great and have zero complaints about the box it's self. Unfortunately the packaging is absolutely horrid. They use a real thin cardboard box and do not put any packing around it so my boxes came in pretty banged up. Luckily for me it was all contained to the bottom and back side of the box so it's not crazy noticable on my application. I thought about returning for another as I'm sure Amazon would have been happy to oblige but I was worried the next would come in just as bad if not worse. Overall it's an excellent box, just wished they would have spent a few bucks more and packaged it correctly. Just be aware you may have to order it a few times to get a passable box. For that reason alone I gave 3 stars.

All in all a very good Personal use Trailer Tongue Box.
Purchased for my Custom Open Gator Utility Trailer. I almost gave up after receiving 3 damaged boxes in a row before getting an acceptable one although not perfect.I wanted a Black large Tongue box & this was one of the only choices I found on Amazon. Luckily Amazon kept sending me replacements until getting a good one.First Box had a large deep gouge in the top which in hindsight I should have kept since it was the best functioning one I received overall.Second one was Dented on multiple sides.Third one was Dented & the top was tweaked as well as the actual box also.Fourth one was decent & required a little adjustment to make work correctly but ended up fixing it my self.The finish is of good quality & holding up well so far exposed to all weather. The locking Latch is well made & will keep an honest person honest but be no match against a dishonest person. So far I have had no leaks at all & I would know since I have a moving blanket, ratchet straps etc stored in it. It is very roomy & holds allot of gear which is what I wanted.I mounted it using 4 - Grade 8 Bolts (Overkill I know ) & washers. I also used washers to space it up just a little off the frame to prevent rubbing & rust on frame. It seems to be working since no rust. I was very picky about lining it up on frame because I am OCD & also wanted to make sure it didn't interfere with tongue jack handle. It was a little close but it is a large box.The top is large & allows the box to be loaded easily also has nice gas shocks to hold it up.Now this isn't even close to the quality of my company Commercial underbody boxes I had made but they allot more expensive. The aluminum isn't very thick & flexes easily but works well for my personal use. I wouldn't recommend this box for daily heavy commercial use but I don't think that is the intended market either.It looks GREAT although I really don't care for the Tradesman Logo Plate on the front which is riveted making it hard to remove for a clean look. I will be removing it though soon & sealing the holes

Very sturdy and useful
Nice quality product! Would highly recommend! Keeps all straps, pins, tools and hitches right where you need them. Seems to be holding up to the elements quite well.

Met my needs perfectly
The box is just what I needed. I have a 12 ft open trailer and needed a place for ratchet straps, chains, cargo nets, a jack and a few tools. I didnt want a great big box so this one is perfect for my purposes. It fits the trailer tongue perfectly. I did put a full plate of light gauge steel under the box to add a little support but it was probably over kill since the tongue on my trailer is just about the same size as the box, I just didnt want to damage the box with the contents.

OK for the price
You get what you pay for. The lock, paint and construction of the box itself are all good, but all the rivets holding the lid on are loose. If this box were to get heavy, everyday use, it probably wouldn't last very long. I'm going to keep it because mine is more for longer term storage than everyday use, so for the money its fine!

Impressed
Love it...keeps water out well made no issues so far. Install with my type of trailer was FUN but after some creative finagling do not know how I went so long with out one.
