- Seagate One Touch 2TB External HDD with Password Protection Light Blue, for Windows and Mac, with 3 Yr Data Recovery Services, (STKY2000402)

Very good...seemed a bit old pack but the unit is good ...was a inspection by delivery agent type of delivery with 99 rupees fee...set up process takes time to login to seagate account , download toolkit software, and then put a password etc...this has password protection ...so each time have to put a password and it requires to download a toolkit software by seagate...which consumes power n memory ...if transferring a lot of files make sure to not set the power option to sleep on laptop..else it will autolock and have to reput the password to make it active in this process if transferring some files it could lead to a confusion as to what is transferred and what is not...i had to opt for cut and paste and then merge folders to ensure no data missed which consumed more time...the speed is good at around 75mbps...the product looks good..very small size and is nice...the cable supplied is usb micro b on d hdd and usb A for the laptop...if want to connect to mobile then need a connector or new wire...not sure whether mobiles can read it as I haven't tried it...Ideally usb3.2 mobiles should support it ...hard disk gets hot during longer operation and spins heavily...so ensure is kept open for air circulation...good product and hope serves well...available size is 1.81tb only...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars – The drive arrived in a sealed retail box and was very well packaged, with ample protective padding. A USB-C data cable was included, allowing me to get started immediately without needing any additional accessories. The drive was recognised by my Mac instantly with true plug-and-play functionality. No reformatting was required, as it arrived pre-formatted in ExFAT and ready for cross-platform use. I purchased it specifically for offline backups and therefore chose not to install the bundled backup software. For its first real-world test, I began transferring approximately 6 TB of mixed data at 10:30 AM using the supplied USB-C cable. By 10:30 PM, around 5 TB had been copied successfully, with roughly 1 TB remaining. This equates to a sustained real-world transfer rate of approximately 120 MB/s, which is excellent for a high-capacity external hard drive handling a large and varied dataset. More importantly, the transfer has remained completely stable, with no disconnects, copy errors, or unexpected slowdowns. What has impressed me most is the drive's exceptionally quiet operation. Even after running continuously for more than 12 hours under heavy load, it has remained virtually silent. I have not noticed any distracting vibration or noise, which is a pleasant surprise for a high-capacity desktop storage device. For transparency, these results are based on Day One of ownership and on the supplied USB-C cable. Over the next month, I plan to test the drive with a higher-specification cable (40 Gbps or better) to determine whether there is any measurable improvement in real-world performance. I will update this review after one month of use if there are any notable changes, particularly regarding data integrity, long-term reliability, transfer performance, or noise levels. Based on my first-day experience, however, the drive has delivered exactly what I was looking for: effortless Mac compatibility, reliable sustained transfers, very quiet operation, and excellent out-of-the-box usability. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good item

I recently picked up the Seagate One Touch 8TB HDD, and honestly, I’m really happy with it. Transferring my 1.25TB of data from a WD Passport was smooth, I was consistently getting around 144 MB/s, which is solid for a high‑capacity external drive. The build quality feels premium. It has a sturdy design with a nice finish that doesn’t look cheap at all. It’s compact for the storage it offers, and it fits well into my desk setup without feeling bulky. Performance has been reliable so far no heating issues, no random disconnects, just steady transfers. It’s clearly built for long‑term use, and I feel confident using it as my main backup drive. Setup was plug‑and‑play, super easy. Seagate’s software adds extra backup options, but even without that, the drive works flawlessly.

I rate this drive 5 out of 5 stars. It’s the perfect solution for anyone needing huge, reliable capacity without the high price tag of an SSD. Price Breakdown & Savings I purchased this 5TB drive for ₹11,999, but with a smart combination of discounts, the final cost was significantly lower. I used a coupon to get an immediate ₹800 cashback credit. I also received a 5% cashback from my credit card (Amazon ICICI), dropping the effective price even further. For the capacity and included 3-year data recovery services, this was an unbeatable deal! Introduction & Primary Use I purchased the Seagate One Touch 5TB to store my growing movie collection, which requires massive space for large video files. The 5TB capacity was the single biggest selling point for me, offering incredible space for the price. The setup was simple and I was able to format it for my usage easily. Performance and Security I primarily use this drive for large, archival file transfers. While moving my initial collection of several terabytes, it did feel slow, but that's just the nature of moving large amounts of data. Using a benchmark tool, I confirmed the sequential speeds are running right around 128 MB/s, which is actually very fast for a portable mechanical hard drive (HDD) and significantly better than older external drives I've used. The addition of the password protection is great for peace of mind, and the inclusion of the 3-year data recovery service confirms Seagate's confidence in this product. 👍 What I Love Massive 5TB Capacity (The ultimate feature for movie/photo collectors). Confirmed Fast HDD Speed (≈128 MB/s sequential). Password Protection for essential files. 👎 Area for Improvement Slower than an SSD. Buyers should be aware that initial transfers of 1 TB or more will take hours. The included USB cable is a little too short. f you need a reliable workhorse for storing huge amounts of data like a movie collection, photo library, or game backups, the Seagate One Touch 5TB is fantastic value. It delivers excellent speed for an HDD and has the capacity to last for years. Highly recommended for users prioritizing capacity and affordability over blazing SSD transfer speeds.

It's good. Haven't had any trouble till date

Suddenly stopped working, with beeping sound the customer support is great but have to send it to netherlands for repairs and if they give you new you have to pay gst/taxes for it.

The Product is Good Premium Built. Only if a C type input cable would have been better . Overall great product

Hasta ahora he comprado dos y no he tenido ningún problema con ellos

Bon disque dur externe facile d'utilisation avec une petite taille mais pas par sa mémoire 2To; je recommande.

Impressed with the speeds. Was less than impressed with how Amazon shipped it, letting it knock around inside a box. I consider myself lucky that this turned up and a quick check says its fine, whereas pc shops that i have used (nobody had stock) bubble wrap hard drives when shipping.

perfect.
