Lowest profile and it takes both major bit design standards
I don't know about you, but I'm sick of those magnetic bit holders leaving my mini-bit back in the previous screw. The Insty Bit holds the bit solid. It also holds the "regular" hex shaft bits/tools (I wish I knew the technical names for these two bit shaft standards - it would make me sound more professional). The short Insty Bit has a hex shaft and thus requires a chuck with dogs (keyed or hand tightening). The 4" Instry Bit has the long design quick change shaft and thus will also go directly into a driver chuck. You can plug a 4" into the short model as a tool. Likewise the 6" and 12" extensions.(same review for the short as well as 4" extension model Insty Bit chuck)

Great product
I'm happy enough with this product to have purchased four of these. I have one that has the larger shank and the other three have a 1/4" hex shank. They are the lowest profile bit holders I've come across and in a pinch I've connected three or four together to get some extra reach(this can only be done with the 1/4" hex shanked product).I gave four stars instead of five because it can be hard to release your bit after applying a lot of torque, but a couple light taps with a metal object always does the trick.I've kept one of these in my toolbelt and have used it almost daily on the job for about 3 years and they've held up well. I keep the other three in my toolbag, and home shop.Overall very happy with it.

Holds bits tightly
Holds bit securely. Other bit holders release the bit on sticky screws. This is much better than reattaching bits every three minutes.
