I've tried every pill cutter under the sun, and of all of them, this is the best one I've found yet. It's clever design helps to align and hold the pill in place prior to cutting, but after the pill is halved, it releases it to allow for simple extraction. The blade is shielded for safety, but in a better way than in other pill cutters I've tried - this makes it less likely for the pill cutter to jam because of the safety shield, an issue I've had with other cutters.Additionally, it's hinged in a different way than the other pill cutters, and without going too in-depth, this allows the cutting blade to press directly, squarely down on the pill instead of slicing through it at an angle. This results in more consistent, cleaner halves than with any other pill cutter I've ever used.Top marks!

Love this pill cutter, it cuts really accurately and stores other half

It seems like they put some thought into the design but this still falls short and turned small pills into crumbs. I think that it is a pill cutter thing because I can't find a 5-star, fool-proof, pill cutter anywhere.

I really need a pill cutter that cuts cleanly. This one does not do the job. It does not cut evenly and breaks the pill so that dosing is not even. It is also difficult to open. Too pricey as well. I would not have minded that though if it had done the job.

Doesn't always cut pills evenly

Very clever design. The top half is hinged in such a way that it moves forward and down, advancing a plunger that centers the pill. With the pill centered and secured, the blade cuts it accurately in half. My only concern is durability as it is all plastic and cutting the pill gives the unit a jolt. I also wish that the blade was replaceable as it will likely get dull in short order. In any event, it is a nice product and is recommended.

It cuts pills very evenly.

I have spent a fortune on pill cuttesr only to have them cut the pills unevenly until I got this one! It automatically centers the pill for you and cuts it perfect everytime. I will never use any other.
