No lights come on. I tested the solar panel and it delivers 19 VDC and this thing does not work. I wish i could send it back. UPDATE…i had the polarity wrong. I changed it and now it works….

**Q: What is the dropout voltage? If the input is 13.6v will the charger still charge to a full battery?**
A: Hi. The dropout voltage between the solar panel and the controller is about 0.5V-0.7V. If the input voltage is 13.6V, then it will not charge. It will charge if the input voltage is at least 15V or more.

**Q: What gauge wire does this have**
A: looks like 14 guage

**Q: Can I use an 18 volt solar panel to charge a 12 volt battery with this controller?**
A: I was successful all summer using this controller with a solar panel which varied from 18V to 13V during the day.   A few times I metered the output of the controller, seeing a regulated 12 v.

**Q: The description says it works with a lithium battery. How do I set the charger to “lithium”?**
A: Hi, you need an extra wire to connect controller and battery (like alligator clips).

### ⭐ Drains battery

There is an LED on it that indicates that it's connected to the battery. That LED or something else causes the battery to drain continuously. I bought this on the 15th and tied it to an AGM battery and a 120W panel. When I started, 12.35V Came back today, 12.1V. After weeks of direct sunlight, all the indicators working fine, the battery ended up much lower than it started.
