CLEAR HOT WATER WITHOUT POISON
This glass whistling tea kettle is great except the whistle isn't very distinct or loud enough, so don't stray too far from it, or there's a possibility you won't hear it and your water might boil away, especially if you get easily sidetracked like I do. There is a cheaper model, but it doesn't have the stay-cool handle, which is a nice feature, except you still need to use a pot holder to pick it up if you're using a gas stove to boil your water. I still think it's better than the electric tea kettles with auto shut-off because I don't like the metal element covering inside them. I used a Capresso and a few other electric models prior to this all glass one and I often wondered if the metal at the bottom that covers the heating element was dispursing heavy metals like lead and/or aluminum into my water, as each one of these electric kettles had the bottom become quite corroded very quickly, and I had to constantly scrub the buildup of whatever the crud was off the bottom with vinegar. I thought it was my water even though my water softened and triple-filtered, but it wasn't my water because this glass tea kettle doesn't need cleaning one tenth as much and I haven't seen any corrosion like I had in the electric tea kettles with the metal bottoms.

Nice pot, but watch for spattering hot liquid
Bought this for my mother that absolutely insists on a clear glass whistling tea pot. It has a good capacity (12 cup) and the clear glass allows you to see if the liquid level is dropping and whether the tea is done steeping. I also wanted to make sure that my mother had one with a good loud whistle to remind her that she had tea on the stove. However, my mother removed the whistling top because every time she opened it with boiling liquid in the pot, the contents would spatter out and burn her. She no longer gets spattered, but she also no longer gets a whistling reminder and I am concerned it is just a matter of time before she boils it dry.

Seems to be okay
Very wary after reading some reviews. It does boil water and whistle. Mine arrived in a box that looked like it was a return. All the bubbles in the bubble wrap had been popped. The handle attached to the metal band at the neck was loose. Needing a kettle right away I decided to try to tighten it and truck on. That worked. Seems to have solved the problem. Hope it stays tight. The top is very thin plastic. You must remove it very carefully or get steamed flesh. The stay cool handles do remain cool.Altogether it is an inexpensive glass kettle and it whistles loudly. My biggest concern is the glass shattering or the handle loosening. So far neither has occurred.

nice design
The overall design is better when compared to the basic whistling kettle from Medelco so it's worth a few extra bucks. The self-cooling handle is also an improvement but you still have to be careful not leave it directly above the fire - otherwise it starts to melt and smells terribly. The only issue I have is that the lid fits extremely tight so you have to push quite hard to get it on. But I don't use the lid much anyway...

It boils water well, but spills a little around when I pour water.
This kettle is not bad in general. It does what it's supposed to do- boils water well. But if I compare with another glass kettle I had before, I noticed that pouring part of the kettle seemed better designed in my old kettle. I think so because that old one poured cleaner, with less spills around cup or bottle.Otherwise, it's a pretty usable kettle.

Truthfully the product works fine as advertised on my gas stove
Euro ware does not up front say there products are made in China. In fact they hide behind there old reputation of being made in the U.S. Truthfully the product works fine as advertised on my gas stove. Yet it would be nice to buy glass products on Amazon made in the U.S. Hell even the 99 cent store sells killer American made glasses for a buck.I know lots of products are made in China due to manufacturing costs but come on is it really that much cheaper to make a glass water kettle in China?

I really like glass tea kettles
I really like glass tea kettles. I only have one complaint and it is not a big deal. I would prefer lid lifter rather than had to be removed to pour. That is only complaint. Nice kettle , nice size and easy to use as seems well balanced.

Whistle not loud at all...barley screams...not sure if I received a defective top.
Handle is cool enough to touch after water boils...works better than my old one, but I cannot hear the whistle at all when out of the kitchen. My old one screams loud but the handle you could barely touch so this one is a plus on that alone.
