Only Relief Ever Found For Scalp Psoriasis!
I've had scalp psoriasis my entire life. It showed up on my skin shortly after birth, and it has progressed to Psoriatic arthritis since age 49. I've tried every dandruff/psoriasis shampoo out there. T-Gel worked for a while, but then stopped being effective. Last year I was traveling in Ireland, and was having one of my most serious (and painful) flare ups of the scalp psoriasis ever. I stopped in at the only pharmacy in the area, and asked the pharmacist for help/advice, as I didn't see anything on the shelves for my problem. She came out and went straight to the Capasal shampoo. She had never tried it, but had always heard from customers how wonderfully it worked. I rushed back to my hotel and applied it immediately. I let it sit on my scalp for 15 minutes while I finished my other showering tasks. I used my normal conditioner on the ends of my long hair afterward. I was totally amazed and overjoyed, when, after drying my hair, I could not find ONE SINGLE FLAKE or red patch on my scalp! No more burning, painful itch! I have to order it here online, as I have not ever found it here in the states. It's very expensive, but you don't use a lot at a time, and once the flare is past, I use my regular shampoo. This is a coal tar shampoo. However they’ve combined coal tar with salicyclic acid and coconut oil – a genius combination I’ve never seen used before. The coal tar is an anti-inflammatory that also slows the skins re-generation and the salicyclic acid helps exfoliate the scalp of existing flakes of dandruff. In theory this would allow the coal tar to work on the scalp rather than the flakes. Both these active ingredients can dry the scalp so the addition of coconut oil is the true genius; coconut oil is an anti-fungal agent that helps keep the skin moisturized. The shampoo smells like a typical coal tar based shampoo. The shampoo itself feels surprisingly luxurious despite the smell, and my hair felt really clean and soft at the end of the wash. Typically coal tar shampoos leave my hair dry and almost straw like but this is where the coconut oil comes into it’s own, offering a wash that genuinely gives the hair volume. Two cons: This shampoo contains tar, so there is a slight tar smell (which dissipates quickly after hair is dry), and, also because of the tar, it leaves my almost white blonde hair with a slight yellowish tinge, and seems to fade my color quickly. It's a trade I happily make in exchange for a painful, itchy scalp, and the emotional relief of worrying about my physical appearance!

Wonderful Shampoo for Scalp issues (including seborrhoeic dermatitis)
This shampoo was prescribed to me by my dermatologist, when I lived in the UK, and had scalp seborrhoeic dermatitis. It worked WONDERS immediately after the first use. My scalp felt amazingly better and less itchy - and even better after more uses. I had the same issue again 4 years later when in the US and was SO happy that I could still get this product again. Some might not be fond of the slight tar smell, but it's really not that bad and if you spray some perfume/cologne on your hair after drying it, you can barely smell it or at all. More for me: the most important thing is that it works and very quickly! Dandruff goes away completely after a few uses. Nothing else I've used OTC works as well as this product. Highly recommend!

Smells like a highway patch truck
This does work very well, but I will only use this when my Psoriasis is out of control. I have gray hair and it turned it a brownish color. The smell was apparent when I took the package out of the mailbox. I had a hard time breathing in the shower (don't light a match when you are using it), and it makes you smell like an oil slick afterwards. That being said, I was going crazy with itching. As soon as I put it on my scalp it was instant relief that lasted. Good thing I am staying home with COVID so no one else smelled my road head! I have been using a Salicylic acid shampoo after I used this. It is pulling the brown stain out of my hair and it is keeping the itching to a minimal.

The Reviews &The Actual Results
I'm diagnosed with severe psoriasis from my scalp, all over my body, face, everywhere. I changed my diet to gluten-free, dairy-free, and nightshade-free; my lesions therefore decreased but I still have it all over--which I know is due to the lack of cleansing my colon. One could clearly see the flakes off my scalp (I'd say a thin-to-medium layer) was how it felt and looked, to give a better idea. I heard so much about tar being a great ingredient for my condition because it sheds dead cells from the top layer and slows down the growth of skin cells. I am not AT ALL exaggerating when I say from ONE wash, I was able to see the color of my own skin! ALL CLEAR!!! Absolutely unbelievable. I also pair this with the Sorion shampoo (which I use after).I was hesitant because of the negative review here but from what was said, that wasn't the case for me. I have unbleached, uncolored hair which I style with hot tools from time to time--and there was nothing wrong. If you are afraid, I'd say try it on a patch of body hair or on a little section in the back of your head. I couldn't wait so I put it all over and there was nothing but 100% POSITIVE RESULTS. This affects my day to day life. I hope you don't miss out :)

Worth the purchase!
Love the product, has helped my scalp and given much needed relief to my scalp! I read in a review the smell isn’t the best, it smells like moth balls, but it’s better than smelling like unwashed booty & the product has helped me immensely!!!

Stinks and does not work
I bought this product for psoriasis on my feet, not on my head, so in all fairness maybe it would be fine for someone who has it on his or her scalp. It smells so bad. I put some in a foot soak and it simply burned and made the condition worse.

3/22/2017- Today I watched a news story about an 11 year old girl named Elisha Dixon who's SCALP BURNED and her HAIR literally FUSED together immediately after using this product. It all had to be chopped off.... It is dangerous, toxic, and SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MARKET!!!
