Gaffers Tape Solutions Matte Black Gaffer Tape, 2-Inch x 30-Yards, White

I have used thousands of feet of Gaff tape im my life and I have to say I was the least impressed with this stuff. Packaging- it took me more than 5 minutes to get the protective plastic film off. Good Gaff isn't overly sticky and only a waxy paper donut is needed for storage, I'm still using a roll of Gaff tape that's more than 10 years old (odd color). This tape is also too thin and tears too easily lengthwise when you don't want it to. Certainly not what I would call heavy duty, which is part of the description.


We had never used Gaffer's tape before and I wasn't sure if it would be a product that we'd actually use. The tape was quickly put to use during our home remodel. My husband used it to hold tile freshly applied to the front of our fireplace. Perfect! Easy to put on, easy to take off. No residue left behind, no damage to the new tiles.He's using it much more than he would ever have used duck tape because it's so much easier to work with.Great product and one we'll always keep in stock for our projects.

I am glad I discovered gaffer's tape. I use it to tape door mats indoors. It works well on a vinyl floor, and so-so on carpeting. I can vacuum and mop over it. It works great for the advertised purpose, taping down electrical cords.

While good, tacky tape, this is not what I wanted. This specific Gaffers Tape is not the woven cloth tape that is known as Gaffers Tape in the film industry. Not worth returning, but definitely not the super strength tape that I'm used to.

This tape is exactly what I was looking for. I am using it to cover tears in a black leather recliner. It works so much better than duct tape, since it is thinner and very pliable.

This was the worse gaff tape I have ever used. Cheap plasticy top that ripped and left white sticky side on the upside... and didn't hold worth a darn. Super poor quality and was unusable. I've tried a few different gaff tapes out there and this was the worse by far.

This tape doesn't perform as well as some of the other brands I've used. Actually even the Polyken/Nashua product is better Polyken 510 Premium Grade Gaffers Tape: 2 in. x 75 ft. (Black).The Gaffers Tape Solutions product doesn't tear evenly across the strip unless you treat it really carefully. I've had to throw away several 6" lengths where it tore half way through the strip, then "ran" along the length for several inches before tearing through the rest of the width. When you're working with Gaff tape and trying to hold stuff in place at the same time, you can't always afford the time or the full attention of both hands to ensure you get a clean tear.The adhesive is also not particularly great. It doesn't leave a mark behind, which is good, but it didn't adhere well to some items like a rubber cable concealer Belkin 6ft. Cord Concealer (Grey). It also tended to peel up from fabrics - especially Olefin/polyester. About the only thing it sticks to really well is itself.If you buy this product, be aware that you'll get multiple emails from the seller, Scott Forrest. They started to feel like spam or desperation to get good reviews. So, Scott, here's your review. If you hadn't pestered me so much I wouldn't have bothered.

Very good quality. I bought this specifically because it's matte. Stronger than duct tape and I can't tear this like duct tape - yay!
