Review: This is a must-buy for passing the FE - Electrical & Computer Exam - This is a fantastic resource. I passed the FE – Electrical & Computer exam on my first attempt. The only purchased materials that I used to prepare for the exam were the official NCEES Practice Exam, and the three Practice Exams and Study Guide by Wasim Asghar. The approach taken by Mr. Asghar for these books was perfect for something like the FE Exam. There is no text, explanations, or fluff. What you get with these four books is about 730 problems in total, which sharpen the skills needed to excel on the FE Exam. In addition to the Asghar materials, I also sprung the $200 for the Lindeburg book, and I literally only opened it once. Lindeburg's approach is to teach all of the concepts and theories, but the FE exam is taken by engineers who have already learned this material. What we need is an extensive set of problems with good solutions to get re-acquainted with the material, and Wasim Asghar's books provide just that. I personally supplemented these books with a few good YouTube channels to fill in some gaps that I had (Raiya Energy Academy for Electrical & Computer concepts, Gregory Michaelson for Probability & Statistics and Engineering Economics). Add to that the incredible customer service provided by Mr. Asghar, and purchasing these books becomes a no-brainer. On multiple occasions I emailed Mr. Asghar with questions that I had on certain problems and he replied within a day with an explanation, and detailed, handwritten solutions. He even emailed me on the day of my exam to ask me how it went, and then followed up with me when I received my results, with suggestions on the next steps, getting registered with the board, and beginning preparation for the PE exam. All of that being said, please don’t think that the FE exam is going to be exactly like these problems. The problems on the actual exam are stated in a much more abstract way than they are on these books. The problems in Wasim’s materials are stated in a straightforward way, where you know exactly what the problem is asking. Think of these problems as drills, exercising the skills needed to execute on the actual exam. If you master these materials, you will have all of the tools needed to perform on the exam. On exam day, you will need to use your engineering judgment and critical thinking skills to interpret the problem statements, weed out the un-necessary information, and determine which “tool” in your toolbox you need to use for the problem. But, Wasim Asghar’s materials absolutely provide you with all of those tools. Review: An excellent book that will prepare you for success when taking FE test - I used this to study for my FE Electrical and Computer test in California and it was an excellent resource. It has 110 questions including answers and worked solutions with direct references to the current FE handbook that you are able to use during the test. I recommend using this handbook as a template of what types of questions you may expect on the test. Use it to time yourself solving the questions as this is very critical during the test and also use this to pinpoint your weak areas which need further strengthening. I studied about 2-3 weeks before the test with this book and was able to pass the test on the first try.

this is the best book out there for examinees to use while preparing ...
At first I didn't know what to expect when purchasing this book if it was really going to help me study for my FE exam. Well I was wrong, this is the best book out there for examinees to use while preparing for the test. The author did a thorough job with creating questions that will help examinees become familiar with question structure and styles that they will be experiencing during the exam. The solutions are great and accurately gives the steps on how to solve a certain type of problem. The author is very receptive to questions and wants to help with any issues that he can. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is studying for the FE Electrical and Computer Exam.

Don't Hesitate - Just Get It!
Five stars! These practice tests are worth every penny. I used two of them, taking each one twice, and the results speak for themselves—I passed! The real value comes from the diagnostics, which helped me pinpoint exactly what I needed to work on. Stop wondering if you're ready and get these tests. They are the most effective study tool I used.

Much similar to the FE exam...
One of the better exams for practice out there. I tried this one and the PPI one as well and I find this one to be a little easier and more up to par on what you expect in the exam. Most of the questions are similar to what you'll see however, if you do this along with PPI's you'll be prepared for the best and the worst. This one is a good one to begin with before you tacke PPI's though.

Good Material Helped Pass on First Try
Bought the practice study guide, along with practice exam #1, to study for the FE. I thought it did a good job of helping me refresh material, especially since I forgot a good portion of it after graduating and working for 4 years. I only touched the practice exam once and it was the day before my exam. When I used it I did my best to create the environment I expected by timing myself and giving myself the allowed breaks. The practice exam gave me confidence, as I was able to answer the questions with 20-30 minutes of extra time to double check my answers in each section. These questions were all multiple choice, unlike the study guide. The study guide was very valuable in helping me get familiar with the NCEES Reference handbook. There are a few questions that don't seem to have equations in the reference handbook, just as in the study guide. Although, it's frustrating to have these problems, there were a few questions in the CBT that put me in the same predicament. I found this Practice Exam's questions to be easier than the study guide and much easier than those in the real exam. I didn't find myself with as much extra time to double check my answers and thoroughly understand the ones I didn't answer on the first go-around. Overall, the study guide and practice exam #1 were very helpful and I passed the exam on my first try, so these are resources I do recommend. And if you do come across some potential errors, the author of the book was very good at responding to the inquiries.

PASSED THE FE ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER
I loved this book. I used it along side the NCEES practice test. Also used ChatGPT to get refresher on subject if I couldn’t complete a problem on my own before going to solution. If you are taking this test my advice is contrary to what you hear most often and I passed on my first attempt. This could be coincidence but I would like to share. I did not kill myself trying to understand the subjects I was bad at in school because they are on this test. I would strongly recommend against this strategy of study. I looked at the questions that had the most problems on the test the NCEES book gives you a range how many problems. So I really leaned into my strong subjects in school with the largest # of questions and then worked my way from there. For me Computer and signals were my weak spots but circuits, power, electromagnetism and electronics were all my favorites/ where my career landed.

Good for practice problems but not going to teach you anything
Good selection of problems but solutions skip so many steps that it isn’t going to teach you how to do any of it. (If you skipped this many steps on homework, you probably wouldn’t get full credit) Good if you are reviewing before test, bad if you are trying to relearn a few years down the road.

Passed
Definitely useful material to test your knowledge and ability before the exam. I used this book as a practice test by giving myself solid 5 hours time limit with only the reference manual handy. I had NCEES practice question booklet too, but I wanted extra practice so I purchased the this along with the # 2. Absolutely recommend it to whomever preparing for the FE Exam!
