Tastes like......water!
I bought this after seeing a review where the reviewer commented on the lack of taste. I had previously purchased a couple of different brands over the years that made the water so horrible tasting, I didn't want to drink it (not good for a hydration system). I've never had a problem with any of them leaking at the seams. I tested it out for taste or lack of right away and was extremely pleased with the water tasting like…..water. I took my Camelback (which the last 2 times I’d had it out, lost the flow valve & leaked all over me) out of my pack & replaced it with the RIQIK. I did find that if I was sucking fairly aggressively, there was a bit of a bad taste. I'm not sure if I adjusted where my lips & tongue were in addition to not sucking as hard, but after a handful of times, I wasn't getting the taste any more. The push/pull valve, while confusing when holding the unit in front, makes total sense when it's in a pack & the tube runs down a shoulder strap then up to the mouth. I’m looking forward to many happy & hydrated trips with it.

Meh
I had a Camelback for years that I beat the crap out of as a wildland firefighter - never had any problems with leaks. It just got nasty, so I decided to purchase a new one. I've had this hydration bladder for a couple months, and it sits next to my bed, so it's not getting beat up or anything. I have had *so* many problems with it leaking and soaking anything next to it. All pieces were assembled tightly, and I can't figure out where the water is managing to get out. Definitely does have a chemical taste, and the bite valve is annoying for me since so little water comes out. If I'm thirsty, I don't want to work harder to get a drink.*Edit* I've been using this for work in the field now, and It's been doing okay not leaking when upright, but the cap will not stay on at all, and also is a pain to push through the opening in a pack where the hose comes out. It gets in the way and doesn't even do its job of covering up the bite valve.*Another edit* The valve fell off completely and now I just have an open hose spewing water...

The second advantage is that this bladder is really easy to clean
Battle testedI’m a beginner of climbing, so first of all, I needed some not so expensive equipment to try. On Amazon, there are lots of bladders, but this is one of newest brands. But the quality of the bladder surprised me a lot. Now I explain why I think so.I took it for 3 days climbing though mountains. The first advantage of this bladder is its functionality. All clips are made from a high quality material, and well fixed as well. For all my journey I wasn’t afraid that it will fell down. By the way about falling. Even right now I’m in big doubts about if it falls on the ground it will be damaged. That’s because of a thick layer of rubber. The second advantage is that this bladder is really easy to clean. Just pull over the spout and clean with water. And it is very comfortable, I say. I don’t know what material is there, but I didn’t feel any taste of previous drink after cleaning.Yes, I bought it for a test, but with Riqik hydration pack I don’t need another.

Good product. Seems tough and I really like the features (detachable drinking hose, full bag opening, valve is easy and intuitive design with pull push mechanism that is easy to use one handed, like the bite valve much better than my MSR). Mine fit an MSR lid seamlessly (same size and threads as nalgenes I believe) though I have yet to actually use my MSR water filter to make sure it seals, but I have every belief it will.I only gave four stars as it weighed in at .68lbs without the drink hose clips. That's 10.88 ounces for those hyperliters counting ounces and it was advertised as 8 ounces at the time of this writing. If the weight had matched what was advertised and if it holds up to wear and tear as advertised I would give 5 stars.

Totally Impressed!
My husband and I have owned a number of different hydration bladders, and this one holds up to some of the more expensive ones you'd find at recreation stores. The material feels very durable and with the times we've tested it, we haven't seen any leaks at any of the seams or anywhere where the hose and mouth piece connect.I love that this holds 3 liters. For the price you pay for this bladder, you're getting quite a bargain. Most bladders that hold this much water are much more expensive. One of the things I don't like about hydration bladders is that nasty plastic taste you get the first few times you drink from it. Right away I noticed this one had very little taste to it at all. This is honestly my favorite thing about it! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants a great hydration bladder without the outrageous price!**I received this product at a discounted price for my unbiased and honest review.**

Inexpensive but well made, buy two and don't expect support
Very nice water bladder for the money, got me from 13,000 foot peaks to 1/2 way down the grand canyon until it developed a small leak near where the tube connects to the bladder and leaked the contents out into my backpack (cooled me down nicely, actually). RIQIK was responsive at first, saying they'd replace it, then went radio silent. I might be able to repair it myself, but I'd always wonder if I'd lose all my water mid-hike and get thirsty. I wish the company stood behind their products more...

It DOES taste like plastic!
I loved this when I first bought it, I actually purchased a second one. But the hose cover started coming apart after not even a month of use. Kinda disappointed. Hopefully the second one holds up.Update: I was able to fix hose cover with electrical tape. Haha. Works fine. But no matter how much I wash the bladder, I can taste the plastic. Not sure if it's the bag itself or the hose but either way, I place fresh water inside at 8am and by 6pm it already has a soft plastic taste.I've still been using it, hasn't leaked on me like other people and I do have to say that the bladder itself is holding up, unfortunately so is the plastic taste. Seems to lessen when the water is ice cold but by the time I am biking home and actually need it, plastic taste again.I just started putting 1L in the morning and fill it again with fresh water right before I leave work and bike home at the end of the day. Seems to work but I shouldn't have to do that since it states 'no plastic taste' right in the description.
