## Description

Are you tired of your homemade bread being sliced uneven? Of having odd pieces of bread leftover for the trash? Mama´s Great Bread Slicer is a solution for you! Slicing bread with this bread slicer is as easy as 1-2-3. Just place the bread in the slicer and cut your knife along the grooves to create a perfect slice every time. ADJUSTABLE WIDTH For the perfect slice and easy cut, it is important to keep the bread loaf steady while cutting. Unlike most bread slicers, Mama´s Great bread slicer width can be adjusted. 3 width settings of 5.9″, 4.6″, 3.3″ ensure bread loaf stays steady while you make that perfect cut. 2 THICKNESS SETTINGS Whether you prefer thin or medium thickness slices, this bread slicer has you covered. It lets you choose between 1/3” and ½” slices. 2 thickness settings are perfect if you want to quickly slice through your bread and not mix up the desired slice thickness. HIGH SLICING GUIDES The 6.1” slicing guides are taller than on most bread slicers. The slicing guides are higher than your loaf of bread, hence no need to eyeball where to insert the knife for that perfect cut. BAGEL SLICER This bread slicer comes with 2 backstops. Use one backstop for slicing bread loaf. Use 2 backstops to form a pocket for a bagel & slice it without risk of harming your fingers.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I watched the video but it doesnt show a complete slicing action. Does the knife blade run into the cutting board on each pass through?**
A: I had trouble with a regular bread knife and I had a new nice one so I bought an electric knife and that did the trick for me. I have made marks on the bottom board with the knife. Nothing bad that would interfere with the slicing but they are noticeable. With my bread, if I don't get close to the bottom then it seems the slices don't completely seperate at the bottom. I love the slicer and it's so easy to clean. The only thing I would change is to have all the slot sizes the same size. It would make the slicing much easier for me. If you have anymore questions, just ask and I hope I've helped you.

**Q: There were no instructions for cleaning before the first use. Don't want to immerse in soapy water as some of the wood is unsealed. How do I clean?**
A: I just washed mine off the first time with a wet paper towel. I use a wet towel now after each time I use it. I hold it upside down first and shake off the crumbs which come off easily. It's super easy to keep clean and I like mine. I was having trouble slicing bread without it and I'm glad I found it.

**Q: Does this have a crumb catcher on the bottom?**
A: No crumb catcher, but for good reason - each side has 2 slots it can go into - that gives you the choice of slicing normal width bread, or narrow width bread such as a bagel. It really is well made and gives you the choice of thin slice (in depth) or regular slice bread.

**Q: My bread knife has a 9" blade. Is that long enough to work effectively and/or easily?**
A: Because I'm gluten-free, I make my own bread. This slicing device really helps cut uniform slices. The widest measurement is 6-3/4", so your 9" bread blade will work. In fact, I measured my bread knife; it's 9". You should be fine. BTW, I LOVE this bread slicing guide!!
