The ground wire is wrapped, not even soldered , the spring in the light bulb socket both filaments of the light no mater how I wire it come on with the running light switch or the brake light . This must have a single filament socket in it and they try to pass it off as a brake and run light combo makes a grate bright running light. Once you solder the ground wire on and the two power wires together. DO NOT BUY IT IS A PIECE OF JUNK.

Picture says it all, easy to mount, replace the manufacturers bulb with a #3496 from your local auto parts store and your good to go.

The housing material is a bit thin and the lens only gets held on with one screw so they will probably take on water - not bad for the price - wish they came in LED - I bought replacement LED bulbs to make brighter - There is no clear window to let light shine down on the license plate - gonna have to modify lens or wire in lighted bolts

Cool little light. I bought two and on both I had to replace the bulb with in one ride. Also when you get it, tighten down the bold that is inside the bulb housing or it will rotate and not stay the direction intended.

For the price the quality was as expected. There was no mention of the bulb type used and it is unusual and difficult to find. 1157 small globe...good luck. And all the nuts and screws rattle loose constantly unless they are loctited.

I bought it for my cafe build. After correctly wiring the light up, it didn't work. I tried wiring up a different set of brake lights and it worked. Was hoping to really use it but now it's going into the trash.
