Prior to this purchase, I used needle nosed pliers or simply cut out the strip of pin bones from the fillet (depending on how big the fish was). At over $30 a piece for each tweezer, these aren't cheap (there are others on the market that are half the price). With that said, the quality of these ones are fantastic! The Ends of each tweezer align with each other. There are no gaps when closing them. They feel sturdy. Can't remember when Pulling out pin bones was this easy. Would recommend letting the fish sit overnight in the fridge overnight before trying to remove the pin bones. Would make this purchase again if I had to.

I'm a hardcore salmon/steelhead/trout angler who loves smoking, baking and pan frying these types of fish. Prior to this purchase, I used needle nosed pliers or simply cut out the strip of pin bones from the fillet (depending on how big the fish was).
