For the most part this is a well made helmet, my helmet arrived undented, but, with a spike missing. The box had the left "fang" of the face mask partially visible on the outside of the box. The spike missing is the one just above the rivet of the chin strap, left hand side, the rivet is still there, however, the spike is gone. The chin strap is thick leather, but supple. The liner is a thinner leather, very "wearable". My helmet came with a very well made arming cap, not a stand. Since I had a stand I did not mind, with this arming cap the helmet is very comfortable to wear. Question, can I get a replacement spike? I would dislike having to send this back for such a minor problem. I would have given 5 stars if the postal system was more careful.

I may not have found a knight in shining armor but I am raising one for some lucky princesses. We are very pleased with this purchase and intend to continue building this suit of armor as an historical conversation peace and to encourage our son in his interest in this time period in history.
