RCGEEK Payload Delivery Device Compatible with DJI Mavic Mini 2 Drone Transport Thrower Drop Device

What I got is actually the Mavic 3 version, but this review still applies to the Mavic mini variant due to its modular design. The payload release unit is the same across different variants. What's different is the mounting plate (in my case the plate with landing gear) to which the payload release unit is attached, and this is why I really like the design compared to other similar products on the market. I hope they would consider packaging all the different mounting plates for all popular DJI drones: Mavic 2 & 3, Mini 2 & 3, so it can be used on all of them.

Used this on my DJI Mini 2 and it hung a phone from the cable but due to the swinging motion, it went in front of the landing sensor and couldnt tell if it was 200 feet up ot 2 feet above the ground, so it almost didnt land. I had to drop the phone early to save the drone thou. Serious flaws with this device, I can not recommend using it, even in a life or death setting where you might need to get a phone to someone that could be trapped. In the process, this device could take down your drone. Almost did mine. I won't be using it again ever after this close call.

I just recently got my Ham Radio license and I want to participate in the radio in the parks events the club frequently do. One of the big deals is how high to get a wire antenna in a tree to reach other radio operators around the world. This will be perfect on my drone to bring a wire higher than the other guys! It is a little competitive in a fun way!

I like the easy attachment to the drone. I didn't like the range of remote or the missing back leg extension

Well, it performs as advertised. Unfortunately I made the mistake of attaching a glider to the line underneath the drone and it flew above the drone while still attached and became entangled in the props and the drone crashed to the ground- a total loss.
