Review: I loved how I could get so many strips for such ... - I started using these strips in April this year. I loved how I could get so many strips for such a low price. I could test multiple times a day starting a week before my period was due. Not that that was necessary, but it was nice just to use to see how early I could get a positive test without being overly concerned about wasting money. Since April, I have not seen streaking, except as it is pulling across until it was dried. Did not receive a false positive, did not have a problem seeing the control line, and I never noticed an evaporation line. This month I started a week before as usual since getting these. 4 days before the day of my expected period at about 4 min 30-ish seconds, I noticed the faintest pink line. i thought I was crazy seeing it, so i asked my husband and he saw it too. So later when I had to pee two hours later, I tested with a digital pregnancy test ( I was waiting for pregmate to show a positive before using it) and it said pregnant. For the next few days, I continued to test to make sure those weren't flukes, and I noticed the positive line show darker, as well as the line showing much sooner, maybe up to a minute max. I am very happy with these strips and highly recommend them. I consider it a good early pregnancy test, since I was 4 days before my missed period. But I know some others might not think so. HCG develops at different rates depending on the woman, when implantation occurred, and on the pregnancy. Only drawback is having to always pee in a cup to dip the strip in, but pros heavily outweigh the con. Edit-8/ 2020 So after this initial positive review, the pregnancy resulted in miscarriage. It was helpful to use these after because it showed the lines getting fainter. By the time we were ready to try again, I still had plenty to use. Once again I found myself pregnant, and that was 6 days before my period was about to start. Unfortunately a week or two later it resulted in another miscarriage. Being paranoid I tested a week after the first and notice the line had gotten fainter, but chalked it up to maybe I was too hydrated. Anyway, about a month after that miscarriage, I didn’t know how my body would be so I only guessed that my period would arrive the same time it normally would have if I hadn’t been pregnant. Well, the time came and just curious, after peeing for the fifth time that day, I took one just to see, not thinking it would be positive. My pee was so clear that after a minute I just threw it in the trash. Like how would it detect a pregnancy with it like that. Well I went back a few hours later and just happened to see the faint positive line in the can. I was shocked so I made sure to wait and build my urine up again. Haha. And it was for sure a positive. Couldn’t believe it was detected. Throughout that whole time and continuous testing I still had some leftover and gave the rest to a friend. Still love that I had so many to ease my mind and to test when I needed! Will get again if we ever decide we want another!
Review: Great for Initial Testing - I'm not a huge review writer, but I know just how important this is to others. I struggled with infertility for my first baby so these tests were low price for bulk testing which was perfect. These gave me my first positive with my daughter, pregnancy confirmed by blood test and other HCG tests. I'm now 5 months pp and suspected based on symptoms I may be pregnant again. The first pic is 12 days past ovulation (DPO) and a comparison of a Pregmate HCG test compared to a First Response 6 Days Earlier test; the line is on the pregmate test, but it is much clearer on the First Response. The second pic is 13 days past ovulation with the same comparison; the line on the Pregmate is clearly darker than 12 DPO, but still faint while First Response's is still darker. For this reason I'm rating the "Easy to Read" category 3/5 because someone could easily miss the positive because of how faint the second line is. The test claims to be accurate 5 days before missed period and it certainly is! Just keep in mind it may be faint, look closely! Otherwise, I love these tests and have since conceiving my daughter! Overall, I give these tests a 5/5 because they do exactly what they're meant to do. I would say these tests are best for your initial and early testing so you're not spending a ton on expensive tests like First Response or Clear Blue (I personally trust First Response over Clear Blue). If there's a faint line, meaning a positive test, then confirm with a First Response or another HCG test. I may update this with a comparison pic the day of my suspected missed period to compare how the line has darkened on both tests! Happy testing and baby dust to you all!

**Q: The box got slightly damaged during shipping; would this affect the accuracy of the tests?**
A: It is unlikely that box damage will affect accuracy because the accuracy is based on a chemical reaction and each test is individually wrapped. However, if you notice any tests that are open or damaged once you open them, I would not use it and throw it away.

**Q: When do they usually expire?**
A: In addition to a date on the box, the ones I received expire 23 months after I received them. I'd say a good estimate is approximately two years.

**Q: How common are false positives cuz i wanted to buy cheap tests since i am not trying to get pregnant. should i buy clear blue/1st response also?**
A: I used 10 of these so far, before my pregnancy, during my pregnancy and after miscarriage. Always correct for me. And since I am trying again, I find it very comforting to be able to test very often with a cheap product like this.

**Q: Do these tests ever show shadow lines under 10 minutes?**
A: Ive used about 100 of these so far and never had shadows or faint on them. Ive kept some for 2 weeks before thinking about doing a progression photo and not even an evap line on any of them. Hope that helps!
