works well and as described. I wish there were 2 separate ports for the probes to go into the unit. I use one probe labeled for the grill which sits on the grates of the grill so I know what temp the grill is at and then the other is labeled "food" which I put into a roast or thicker meets. With only one port for the probes in the unit, you have to pull one out then put the other in so you know where you stand. Otherwise it is a nice handy unit.Pros: comes with two probes, and has a light up display for cooking later at night.Cons: only has one port on the base so you have to switch out probes if that is how you have things set up.

Works fantastic! The backlit screen is great as well. My only ding on this is that the magnets arent terribly strong and the unit slides down the front of my stove. Beyond that (which can easily be fixed) I am very happy with this purchase.

Well it looks like a good product and maybe it is but I never could figure out how to work it. The directions are worthless and I could not find a video to watch to try and learn how to use it. I did not return it keep thinking I will try and figure it out or find someone that can explain it to me. I was really disappointed.

Wanted to roast a turkey breast, but no way to know how long it needed to be roasted without a thermometer. The Smart Chef thermometer worked great. I really liked that I could have the probe in the turkey, and have the readout on the device without having to open the oven. When it got to the correct temperature, I took it out of the oven, and it was done perfectly. Love this product.

I thought the product worked just fine. I would have liked a magnet to be a little stronger but other than that for the money it was great

Touch screen is flaky and doesn't work all the time. Temp resets to C from F often

I have only used this twice. First time was for cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving. Used another instant read thermometer to verify the temperature registering was correct. The fact that the thermometer reader has a magnetic backing that I can stick onto the stove door and an alarm that can be set to the desired temperature is a plus.
