The media could not be loaded.  This is a great casual knife sharpener for kitchen and sports knife collections. I found it worked great with stainless steel 440C blades. Its calls for 3 - 5 pulls on the grinding platform but I found it works better with 6 -7. As far as the build quality its great. ABS plastic holds up with well with general use and the stainless steel finish adds a professional high end look. The pops of red matches the color scheme of my kitchens. The non-slip grip on the bottom adds stability when in use. My finding for this sharpener is that it will work for all general use kitchen knives however some harder metals will not benefit from its sharpening surfaces. For my kitchen knife set it was perfect and just what they needed to bring back precision cuts, carvings, and chops. I would great recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive high quality knife and\or scissor sharpener.I accepted this item in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly it's smaller than I thought. When i saw this was available for a discount, I decided to pick one up. It comes in a plain white box with the knife sharpener itself, and an instructions manual.Pros:+ The top red part is a rubberized texture to firmly grasp it when sharpening+Works well+The bottom hasa matte like texture in black which helps the sharpener stay steady+Can also sharpen scissorsCons:- Instructions manual is too vague and half of it is in a different language(See Pictures below)- May be a little time consuming at firstI wish the instructions manual was a little more helpful, but I found out you just need to go back(not back and forth) on the knife about 6 or 7 times and it worked! I'd recommend this!

This item served its purpose and was pretty useful in my household. The instructions included were in a different language, however, which made it harder to figure out how to use. But, the overall experience was decent.* I was provided a free sample and payment in exchange for an unbiased, honest review.

I bought these for my husband hoping that he would be more comfortable.He noticed a great improvement and I bought another pair!

fairly sturdy, decently constructed knife sharpener......... only time will tell.
