I made sure that the batteries were placed in the dispenser the right way and I verified this by seeing the green light come on. However, it appeared that the sensor did not detect the presence of any of our hands when in proximity for dispensing soap. The few times that it did dispense soap it was several seconds after our hands were removed that soap was finally dispensed. The operation of this unit was very inconsistent and I ended up purchasing a soap dispenser from Bed, Bath, and Beyond that worked within 5 minutes of opening the box and reading the instructions.

Worked for about 3 months. Had to replace the batteries once toward the end of that, and then it quit working all together.

This has a small soap well and the little feet don't stay on the enamel apron of my sink. Luckily I had a bottom with rubber feet from it's predecessor, so I solved my own problem. I've had many different manufactures of this same device in the past 10 years. So far none are perfect. Some have blinking lights you can't shut off, this one doesn't thank goodness. They last about a year before needing replacement. They are very handy for hands free dispensing but they don't work with clear glass items. I find I have to stick my finger over the sensor to get it to dispense. This will do for now.

I've purchased two within one year and they have both stopped working. The amount of soap it dispenses is very inconsistent, at times it'll give you a drop of soap, sometimes a fair amount. It is a very cheap product

I got this soap dispenser August 29, 2016. It basically lasted 4 months and does not function anymore. I used only Dawn Dish Soap as recommended. While it worked it did a pretty good job. However, I found this to be a battery hog! I went through 7 sets of fresh Duracell batteries in this short amount of time under what I feel is normal use (3 dishwashing cycles a day). I just installed another set of batteries and NO GO! Maybe I got a bad one. I cannot recommend this dispenser. Sorry

description says you can adjust it for small, medium and large amount of soap, but all three clicks give the same HUGE amount of soap. the soap just keeps coming and coming and coming.

Haven't really used it but it does work
