Touch Screen Replacement Part for HTC Evo 4G

Looks great but simply doesn't work
I bought this screen replacement to replace a cracked glass screen on my HTC EVO Shift. It took about an hour to install when taking my time. To my disappointment the screen had several "dead spots" where it wouldn't recognize my touch. I have to rotate the phone and play with it for awhile to select the correct icon. I will say that this looks identical to the original. I suggest to save your money and put it towards a phone replacement.

ok if you're looking for a cheap fix but not great.
I was disappointed with the results. The screen definitely has decreased and altered sensitivity. Texting has become much more challenging and tests my patience. The swipe mode for texting is virtually useless as it rarely registers the correct keys so I'm constantly editing the spelling. When talking on the phone I have to make sure my cheek doesn't hit the screen or it will disconnect the call. It is not a 100% fix but if you are tight on cash it will work for the time being, just be prepared to be more patient. I'm going to be taking it in to have it fixed properly, I use my phone for business and it no longer has the efficiency I need. Also, I'm a pretty savvy fix it person and it took me a little over 2 hours with the on line tutorial, it was an intense two hours. AND MAKE SURE YOU GET THE TAPE AND CORRECT SIZE PHILLIPS AND FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVERS or you will not be able to get it apart and reassemble it!!!! I did not get the appropriate tape so the screen is out from it casing about 1/16 of an inch which may be why the sensitivity is so off. If you have the money I would suggest getting it taken care of professionally. Hope that is helpful.

Glad I purchased :)
So My experience was fairly good, Shipping was kind of a hassle on USPS's Part, They Shipped my order to the wrong household. The Screen Works GREAT! It was somewhat tricky to remove the Broken one from the phone because of all the cracks, But the work gets done!.I would Recommend Buying +1In the end on my Part, The only Con is that the screen sticks out a little bit. should have put double-sided tape between the LCD and the Digitizer.Bought My Tools From Home Depot4/5 Stars :)Replacing the screen for this particular phone is a breeze, Do it once, and you'll remember how to fix everything inside the Evo 4G

chinese crap
i pulled the old digitizer out of my htc. this one is a different. cheap, clear color, flimsy. i put it in, it didnt work, of course, i took the phone to sprint, they looked at it and asked "where did your get this digitizer"? when he pushed on the botton the top popped out, he looked at me and rasied his eyebrow. my phone was only 8 months old. it voided the warrenty. i had to throw it away. the sprint salesman said" where did you get this cheap chinese crap

Back-up LCD
Very clean and arrived in good time. Although, I would have a back-up LCD screen handy in case it is your LCD that needs to be replaced, as well. I say this because after I replaced my screen, my LCD was apparently bent from the fall and that, in turn, make the screen unable to read or use. Thus, had to wait for a new LCD to come in the mail and unable to use my phone until then.

Be careful before you buy.
There are two hardware revisions of the EVO. One uses a narrow connector (this item is the narrow), and there is also a wider connector. Guess which one my phone uses. My fault I get that, but the shipper was unwilling to communicate with me and I was not able to get a refund.4 stars for the glass, 1 for the seller.
