Calico Dorsey: Mail Dog of the Mining Camps Hardcover – Picture Book, September 28, 2010

Well written historical fiction book. Great for schools in San Bernardino County who live near Calico where Dorsey did his mail route.

Very cute book. We have a Border Collie who looks like Dorsey - had to get this book! We visited Calico Ghost Town with our Gracie and saw Dorsey's story in the Pet Shop there!

My Mom worked at Calico Ghost Town when I was a youngster, and I spent many a weekend roaming the streets of Calico waiting for my Mom to get off of work. Calico Dorsey is based on a true story and is a lovely book. The illustrations are lovely. Even thought the cover is not the best picture by any stretch.

Great story of a working dog in mining towns of California. My three year old grand daughter LOVES it and has to hear it over and over. We even found the ghost town on the map! Thanks for a great read!

I bought this book for a great granddaughter. I wish I could have read it to her myself. Unfortunately she and her family don't live close enough for me to see them.

Dog!This book is beautifully illustrated and I would recommend this story to anyone who loves dogs, history, California, or the US Postal Service. Its a great story!
