Wildtek Repel Waterproof iPhone SE / 5 / 5S Case

The iPhone SE fits the case like a glove. The buttons and ports are accessible and easy to use. I've found one major problem with this case though... The screen protector does not sit flush with the screen. There is enough room between the screen and the back of the screen protector that you can push it back and fourth with your finger. As a result, a certain percentage of gestures are entirely missed, or, don't accomplish what you're actually trying to do because the screen protector is flexing and touching other areas of the screen. It states on the Amazon product page that you need to remove the protective film on both sides of the screen protector. Mine only had it on the front;not on the back. That struck me as sort of odd.

The main purpose i got this was to have it be waterproof. I tested and under a couple inches it works. The touch ID also works great. Sound seems to be normal. You have to make sure you have apple chargers otherwise they might not fit without taking it all the way apart. The one star knocked off is because the screen protector feels bumpy and lots of air spots so screen is not as sharp.

Ok, I really don't want to give this a negative review. It is not my style to do this, BUT this company has totally ignored me. I have sent them several emails and they have decided to just not respond apparently. I bought this case to keep my iphone safe while I kayak. I am a guide and I frequently practice rescue techniques which means I am in the water a lot. I like to have my phone on me in case something goes wrong out there, hence the waterproof case. However, this case failed. I diligently checked the seals before I got on the water and am totally confident that everything was fastened appropriately. Nonetheless, water seeped in and ruined my iphone. I was indeed rescue training the day that it happened. What if something had happened out there and I couldn't reach help? Not only am I out hundreds of dollars but it was the sheer stress and inconvenience of not being able to communicate that was the worst. I couldn't communicate with clients, my boss, or anyone else for that matter and finally was able to borrow someone's phone till I could get a new one. In the unlikely possibility that it was not the case's fault, the company still should show support and respond to my distress over this incident. Anyway, I do not recommend that you purchase this case.

Product is not tested for being waterproof before leaving the factory. They give instructions how to test it yourself before using. I ordered 2 to replace one I originally got from Verizon, not knowing about the waterproof issues (which so happens to be the only reason I purchased this type of case!) The 1st of our new cases failed the water test within 2 seconds. the second one failed after 30 seconds, but we decided we had to use it anyway because my husband is tough on phones and could not go a day without a case.Headphones and Square reader cannot be used without a special adapter, which comes with the case. After losing an adapter we searched online and were unable to find adapters that will work with the case design, and the company was not able to provide additional adapters when I offered to purchase them.They did offer to replace the case that failed in 2 seconds (which I pitched into the garbage rather than mess with returns) but so far it has not shown up. They said it would be coming through Amazon, but I don't know how to track something that I did not order.

At first, it is a great case. I threw it in a pool ad took it out and my phone was dry. However, over time, the quality comes out of the product. I bought two of these cases. The first one fell apart at the headphone jack rendering the waterproof quality useless. Therefore, I ordered another, thinking that it was because I did not take good enough care of it. The second case lasted a month longer(5 months in total) until the headphone input fell apart, then when I took off my case to test the waterproof quality, more of the thin plastic fell off. Overall I enjoyed the case for a few months but nothing long term. If you read this, buy something that is built with better quality that costs a bit more. If you need a quick one month waterproof case, then this is perfect.

At first I wasn't sure about this case. A few weeks and it fell on the floor and cracked, the phone was undamaged and water tech sent me a replacement when I contacted them. Now it's several months later and yesterday my phone was blown into the pool by a large gust of wind. The phone was submerged at least a full minute before I noticed. But lo and behold the case Worked and my phone is fine. So if you're buying this case to keep your phone water protected it's a great deal!

I will never do business with them again, the Case failed less then a year after I bought it and my iPhone SE was destroyed. The failed to do its only job which was be waterproof and allow me to take pictures in the water during my beach vacation. Product was not even a year old, I followed all directions (which I rarely do), but I wanted to keep my first iPhone safe and dry. I contacted customer service and they were not helpful at all.

Everything about the case is durable and definitely feels like it will protect the phone underneath. My only complaint is the thin plastic film. It definitely senses your touch but it just off. I would prefer a glass/Plexiglas screen cover instead.
