Jung in perspective
Thoughtful and balanced critique and assessment of Jung and his many works. Good contrasts with Freud, Adler, and modern analysts.

Brilliant introduction to Jung
A really good overview of Jung's psychological theories. And readable.

Great place to start
This slender volume of only a 110 pages is a great first stop on the journey of learning about Jung's ideas. The book covers the key points of Jung's writings, comparing and contrasting with both traditional and more contemporary psychoanalytic theory where appropriate. Anthony Storr also offers critical comments on some of Jung's thinking to provide additional guidance.Storr's writing is crystal clear and he manages to make the writing of a notoriously difficult writer accessible. You could do far worse than to start here before reading other secondary sources and ultimately the work of Jung, himself.

Hard work
For trainee counsellors, as a I, I would recommend the last chapter and then start from the beginning. I think for me this would have been a clearer order of thoughts.

Interesting
Like most of his books storr tells it like it is at the time, well written he makes it easier to understand some complex concepts.
