A Must-Have for Sore Muscles
The TriggerPoint Grid 1.0 Foam Roller has been a great addition to my recovery routine. It’s firm enough to work out tight muscles but still comfortable to use on a regular basis. The textured surface helps target sore spots effectively, especially after workouts or long days sitting at a desk. It feels very durable and has held its shape well over time. Overall, it’s a high-quality foam roller that provides excellent muscle relief and mobility benefits. Highly recommend.

Wish I had purchased long ago!
I've been using a basic, smooth foam roller for years, but it always felt like I was just rolling over the surface of my muscles without actually getting into the knots. The TriggerPoint GRID roller is a completely different experience. The moment I started using it, I could feel the difference. The unique grid pattern with the different textures—like a palm, fingers, and fingertips—really gets into the tight spots on my back, IT band, and calves. It's like having a deep-tissue massage therapist on demand. Yes, it hurts at first, especially when you hit a particularly stubborn knot, but it's a "good pain" because you know it's actually working. What I love most is how durable it is. Unlike my old foam rollers that would compress and lose their shape, this one has a hard, hollow core that holds up perfectly. I've been using it daily for months, and it still feels brand new. I also appreciate the 13-inch size. It's small enough to pack in my gym bag or a suitcase for travel, which is a huge plus for someone who's always on the go. If you're serious about your muscle recovery and want to go beyond a basic surface-level roll, this is the foam roller for you. The price is a little higher than some of the others, but given the quality, durability, and effectiveness, it's an investment I'm so glad I made. Highly recommend

Perfect
I got this too relieve some tight back muscles. It’s not too soft and not too hard. It’s just perfect. Instant pain relief.

Solid foam roller, but I wish it was firmer
This is a well-made foam roller and overall I've been happy with it. The material feels durable, it has held its shape well with regular use, and the compact 13-inch size makes it easy to use at home without taking up much space. The textured surface works well for rolling out my back, legs, and other larger muscle groups. It's lightweight enough to move around easily but still feels solid and stable when putting body weight on it. I also like that the different sections of the surface provide slightly different pressure depending on how you position it. My only real complaint is the firmness. I prefer fairly aggressive deep-tissue pressure, and this has a little more give than I'd like. It still works well for stretching and general muscle recovery, but I wish the foam were slightly denser so I could get more targeted pressure into tight areas. For someone who doesn't want an extremely hard roller, the firmness may actually be perfect. The construction and shape retention are excellent, and I think it's a good value for the quality. I'd give it four stars. A slightly firmer feel would make it five for me.

My favorite back cracker!
Golly, I'm finally of an age to be excited by a foam roller review. Ok, so I now own more foam rollers than most gyms. All have their special uses, none are a jack of all trades. Sorry, if that's what you're looking for, you won't find it. What you will find is that this is the best all around tool for your BACK. Don't be intimidated by the "trigger point" namesake. This is actually quite bit gentler than the cheap standard foam rollers you see everywhere (if you happen to be in the market for more deep tissue kind, look at chirp wheel kind among others). So much so, this doesn't require any warm up stretching or activity. You can (and I do) literally get up first thing in the morning, go pee, then get on this thing, work out your back kinks, then go about the rest of your day. Same thing at night, I recommend this to be the last thing you do during the day before you roll into bed. Don't be lazy, if you had bad posture earlier, your back won't magically snap into alignment overnight, quite the opposite: you'll just wake up stiff and sore. Everything about this thing is "just right". Enough pressure, non slip and won't pop out from under you like others. Perfectly sized, almost travel worthy. Ok you can stop reading now, this is a good buy, period. end of story

Great value foam roller for lower back pain
I bought this for back pain, and it’s honestly worth every penny. If you have lower back pain, this is a great, inexpensive option that can help. It’s a nice pain relief gadget, and I also like pairing it with exercises that strengthen your core, which helps support your back. Whenever I feel my back tightening up, I roll on this a few times and the pain goes away.

Runner's Best Friend
I run recreationally, but like many, I enjoy pushing myself hard and find myself with considerable muscle soreness after really long runs. Rolling out my legs before, and giving special attention to sore muscles after my workouts, changes everything. Before rolling, my calves would be so sore and tired immediately after running that I could barely walk straight; with this foam roller, I feel more recovered 20 minutes after a workout than I used to 2 hours after. It's not merely superficial pain relief either, I can go from walking with a compensating limp from soreness to walking with vigor after a few minutes with this. More than that, I've been able to work out considerably more often, and I feel more confident than ever that I'm working out injury free thanks to rolling my ITB and other problem areas before running. In the month after ordering and using this roller, I dropped nearly a minute from my 10k pace - about 5 minutes from my total time. Be aware that this is not a massage roller. Although I've said it helps with pain relief, rolling with this may hurt a bit itself at first. To call this "firm" is maybe unfair, because its core is completely rigid, covered with a foam layer just thick enough to give it texture and grip so it can be used effectively. The first dozen or so times you use it, you may need to ease your weight onto it and take it easy. However, I found that after a week or so it not only didn't hurt, it felt outright good - I would go so far as to say comfortable thanks to the excellent foam layer. Having used this, I can't imagine hoping for comparable results out of a compressible, all-foam roller. As for the rest, this roller is simply well designed. It's lightweight, very durable and water resistant (including sweat), the foam layer doesn't look stressed out or cracked from use, even though I live in an extremely, disturbingly dry climate. Nothing is peeling, nothing is deformed, nothing shows even the slightest sign of wear. It's as good as the day I bought it, and I wouldn't hesitate to pack it in my gym bag or trunk without fear of crushing the shape. Top notch, look forward to years of happy use.

leave it on the floor and jump on it whenever you get the chance
There were cheaper options but since this is the original I thought it was worth the extra - didn't want to take the chance with a lookylikey. Well it does what I thought it would - it's nice to have a roll around on it whilst working the abs and core (I guess). I'm really just giving my back and spine a gentle massage. Not managed to release any of my "bunched" calf muscle groups yet but keeping at it. Looks just as good as it did when I bought it as I got the camoflaged one. No complaints.
