Box is phenomenal, shipping method needs work.
This box is exceptionally well made, feels sturdy and strong, I wasn't sure I'd be getting my money's worth but I honestly feel the quality of this box lives up to it's price point. The lock isn't going to hold back anyone with a screwdriver but it's well made and should be enough to deter the apartment maintenance guy from snooping or some unattended company that you are entertaining. The only problem I have is the packaging it's shipped in. The box came wrapped in paper which actually seems to have melted into the wood of the box itself during shipping. I used a damp scrubbing sponge with a small amount of dish soap but there is still residue of melted paper on the lid of the box. I am not sure the best way to go about cleaning it the rest of the way off, but it's only really noticeable if the light reflects off of it in a certain way. If they fix this problem this box is perfect for any smokers coffee table, and I would highly recommend it if your budget allows.

not an honest company--i'd pass (and puff puff pass with something else)
i noticed a flaw about the size of a half dollar right on the top of the box that looked like it was filled in with putty and buffed to try and match the rest of the surface. i contacted the vendor and they said yes that they repair some of their wood lots so that can use all of the wood and make more boxes. i asked if they discount the boxes that are flawed and they said no, that it's listed in the description. i reread the description, and in fact it is listed there, but not stated very clearly. perhaps legally they're covered, but i think it's dishonest to sell flawed products to some unsuspecting customers at the same price as regular ones so they can make more money.

Nice stash box after its VOC clears off
Took several months for the lacquer to vape off. Still smells after washing and setting outside to cure for weeks.Nice decorative box to store your stash in. The tray is quite functional and does add to the value

Very well made, strong wood, beautiful finish, definitely airtight, a bit pricey but worth it in the long run.
