This is a gorgeous looking piece of audio equipment. The packaging is also lovely. The middle part has a soft fabric, very nice. Why could I only give it 3 stars? Because of the audio. This speaker is great for cello music, things like that, some soft jazz, perhaps. Note that though it is waterproof, it is not meant for leaving outdoors or submerging under water. It is perfect in my opinion for bathrooms. In case it gets splashed, etc., there are no worries. I placed mine on top of a toilet in a very small bathroom in my home. Since this speaker is so nice looking and slim I feel it elevates the look of my bathroom without making it feel smaller, but in fact bigger. It DOES NOT meet my high exacting standards for sound reproduction though. You hear distortion in the bass range at very high volume, or certain EQs. It does not have enough ability to handle bass range, and there is a bit of tinniness to it. Rock sounds not its best, nor does techno. If you are used to the highest standards of sound/music, or even if you are not but you expect them, you might be disappointed if you get this for a place in your home other than an echo-y bathroom. It is a piece of electronic equipment and I feel these types of things are not disposable, nor meant to be treated with disregard. My speaker has a place in my home and I will always keep it. Bathrooms tend to have lots of echo so the fact the bass is not up to snuff is not nearly as evident in there. I find that the sound of a cello early in the morning coming from this speaker wafting down the hall from my bathroom in the hallway is a very wonderful thing.

OMG... Great speakers. So much better than so many more expensive speakers I have gotten. PERFECT for the DOT

Item was delivered on time. But the speaker wasn't as loud as it seemed. I've purchased other speakers for about the same price that are also smaller in size and the sound was noticeably louder than this one.
