Replacement hose for vacuum brands no longer offering replacement parts
It is a shame to trash a vac just because the hose gives up and replacements hoses are no longer available. So I removed the broken hose from the connectors on each end for one of our vacs. I tried this hose (industry standard diameter?) and found that most epoxy glues, etc. don't like to work with polystyrene. So I bought Loctite "all plastics" bonding agent. It has been successful SO FAR and it has been possible to drag the vac using the hose. Since it is a couple of feet longer than the old hose, it reaches more places without having to hold up the vac off of the floor. Worth a try for the $$$ involved.

Cheaper by the foot at a box store
Works as advertised, costs too much, found the same product at farm supply came with 4x as much hose for the same 5 bucks less and it included fittings
