Post Audio RFA-1 Multi Purpose Swivel Mount Mini-Boom & Studio Swiss Army Knife

I actually really like this product, and feel it is a fair price for solid construction. You can move your mic virtually anywhere, and the hold is as solid as you could want.The only reason for a missing star is that I'd like a stopper to prevent the guide from just slipping out. A threaded plug with a knob at the end could solve the problem nicely. The issue isn't likely to come up for most people, so if I could rate this at 4-1/2 I would.The build is clean, easy to use, and flexible. Bonus points: it looks really professional!I'm thinking of getting another for a weighted boom stand, as well.

For the price this is a good mount, I did try to use the screw down first but could not get it to stay up straight. I was thinking I may need to send it back but after mounting it to my desk with the screw mount it works great.

Threads cut too loose,Using on an Atlas boom, best in the business.Also lacks a cap, or stop on the rod, so when adjusting your $4000.00 mic can drop to the floor.Retuned it.

If you want to build a podcast studio - A REAL podcast studio - then consider getting these RFA-1 mic boom drops. The main reason we purchased them was to have better control on the end mic area, but also to add space for microphone flags (the boxes that offer information about the speaker, what station, or the website they represent; not sure? look it up). The product is of SUPER quality construction, works easily with a boom stand or flush-mount (we went with a flush mount for our purposes), and makes for really easy adjustments to the mic instead of all the squeaking and stuff! We bought four, and given the opportunity to do so again, we would! (The pic shows the mic flag and the RFA-1 attached.)

This is exactly what I needed to mount my OLD Equitek II large diaphragm microphone. It's versatile and sturdy and worth every cent for the cost. If you have numerous studio mic's you need one or two of these.

Extremely sturdy construction. This thing is guaranteed to stay in place. All metal construction but it was not oily at all. Excellent product.
