A must read for the professional
It reads like a newspaper column. You can pick it up and and read a few pages and come back later. Some concepts are rudimentary but with the scenarios it helps you to be self reflective. Which we all need to be

Several very good points
Liked the discussion of the belief police, need to set boundaries esp., many suggestions for upping authentic listening and participation. All suggestions would lead to staying out of "in-groups" and brown nosing to get ahead.

Insightful
There is a lost art of dealing with people without or phones or skype or any of that stuff that allows us to feel protected and safe... how can we recapture that feeling of personal investment in others and empathy?Well... the author gives a few really great suggestions on how to do this, in growing empathy and compassion, questioning the assumptions that we all carry on a daily basis, and even re-thinking common advice like the golden rule...My favorite part was the chapter about the BELIEF POLICE... it was hilarious but also so true to realize that sometimes i do that but also cringe when i see other people doing it... OPEN UP! WE ARE HERE TO CONTROL YOUR BELIEFS!
