Banana Slicer Cutter by CookArt - Kitchen Banana Chopper

This little gadget is fab! Peel banana, lay it down and press the Banana Slicer through the banana. Done. Not slicing banana ten times, more or less. This will fit a large banana also. Just throw in dishwasher when done. The slicer, not the banana. ;)

It is cheaply made but does what it is supposed to do. Banana does have a tendency to get stuck in some of the crevices though but it does help that it is dishwasher safe! Definitely safe for toddlers to use without fear of being cut and takes up minimal space

My intention was to use for slicing bananas however I did not like the fact that there was no bottom of slicer. I had to wipe my counter off after slicing banana. If a bottom was part of slicer it would be worth purchasing. I have tossed banana slicer and reverted back to using a knife. I do not have to clean my countertop just the knife. This slicer was not a good purchase for me. I want to add also if you have a very ripe banana you have to push the banana thru the slicer.

Works perfectly. I use it so slice bananas for dehydration. Much quicker and easier than a knife. Wish I bought it sooner.

Lame. What was I thinking buying this? How lazy do you have to be to buy this thing?!? It ends up being more work than just using a butter knife, because then you have to clean between each blade of the cutter. You can't use this with a standard plate to press down on the banana because most plates are not perfectly flat but flare up along the edge. So as you press down with this very long cutter it will hit the edges of your plate before you can finish the downward motion. So now I need a flat cutting board...yet another thing that needs to be cleaned just to slice a banana. This thing is the quintessential impulse buy that you use once and regret instantly. I think I'm going to mount this on the white board in my office as a reminder about making wise decisions.

I bought this because it seemed much easier & safer than slicing a banana with a knife. It's sturdy and fits any size banana. Slices great and clean up is a chinch. Highly recommend.

Reasons why I love this:1. I am a really slow slicer2. I don't have a ton of energy.3. I make big batches of muffinsThe only thing that could improve this was if there was a quick way to get all the slices out at once.I usually just keep cutting bananas and let the pieces fall out onto my cutting board. If you are just cutting one you either have to use your finger or get a utensil dirty.
