Yes! That is why I love these so much. They eliminate squeaking, so it’s very beneficial for when students are learning air control or new low notes.

Q: Is there a brand of recorder that doesn't work well with these, or are they pretty universal?

they work well on the Yamaha brands but not the Harmony brand. When you put them on other brands, they block all the sound.

Q: Will this muteflute device fit on flutophones? sold as hohner flutes, also?

Hello. The mutflute mute is designed for German or Baroque fingering soprano flutes. It's not designed for flutonos, so we don't know if it might work or not. On the other hand, we do not sell Hohner flute nor do we work with them. But we can confirm that our product is compatible with your flutes. Thanks

Q: Does this work on alto flutes as well or only for saprano?

Hello. its maked for the soprano recorder and We sell it for soprano. but it can work with alto. many people use muteflute with alto recorder. You will have to open the arms of the mute to put it in the recorder. Good lucky. Thanks for yor interest
