Totally worth it!
These lights are amazing! Just what I was looking for, actually more. I really like the remote and all the options. I was really just wanting lights to hang over my bed but this is pretty fancy with all the settings. When I saw the box it looked so small and I was sure that they weren't going to be enough. The lights also seemed small when they were unlit and I was so worried they wouldn't be bright enough and give that ambient glow I was looking for. But once I unraveled them and strung them up they filled the space perfectly, no more or less than I wanted and gave the room a great vibe. They surprisingly give quite a bit of light while still keeping it just dim enough to feel cozy. And if you think they're too bright you can always dim them down with many various increments. They even flash, which feels a bit strobe like sometimes though. Could use that for another effect.THE ONLY POSSIBLE NEGATIVE (not for me, but I see how some people might not like this)I have a vizio TV in the room and I noticed when I turn up the volume the lights turn on and when I turn down the volume the lights turn off. It is only the volume button on the TV remote and the on-off of the lights that sync up. This is a slight inconvenience since I will have to turn them back on whenever I lower the volume but at the same time if the light remote is somewhere else I can just grab my TV remote haha Good if you're lazy or misplace the small light remote. Not sure if this happens with all TV's though. May just be mine or my TV model in particular. I like this quirky feature more than I dislike it though.

I have many different low voltage led light solutions. This is the best for ambiance.
Over the past 2 years, I've bought various battery and non-battery LED lighting solutions that are similar to this - on a string or strip of some sort. These are my new favorite.Strip lights have to be attached by the sticky backs. The waterproof ones are often too heavy for the adhesive they come with. These string lights can just be hung anywhere there is a hook. These use 3 wires instead of the 2 that battery-based ones use. That's due to voltage, but it makes the overall cabling significantly thicker, and it seems they may even use a slightly thicker gauge wire. With the thicker wire, it's a _little_ easier to keep untangled (it's still a challenge- but only until they're hung). Also, compared to a different string set I bought, the wire is twisted in between the LEDs. This makes it much more manageable. I took some pictures to compare - hopefully you can see the difference. This product is the one with the copper color wires (also a plus). They say "super bright", but not if you compare them to most "strip lights". If you truly want to light some space, you'll have a hard time doing it with these. I expected that, but some people might not. If you need to light a space up, strip lights are a better option. As for the controller - I like the options they give. Personally, I think blinking is a strange option, but the long fade in and out is nice, as is the ability to it one button for a desired brightness level. It seems disclosure is a thing here, so I did pay full price and this is my honest opinion / review.

These are better than I expected I put 3 strings around our above ground pool and they are plenty bright.A couple of things I want to add for others interested in controlling them:Once you set a mode on them with the remote and remove power, they come back on in the mode you set when power is reapplied This means you can turn them off and on with 120vac home automation controls once you set them up. I use a GE outdoor ZWave mohdule to control a 12vdc 2OA supply for yard lighting.I cut the power cables off the transformers that came with these lights and made a harness by soldering and shrink tubing them to standard low voltage cable run back to my yard light power supply.Seal the IR controllers up in a waterproof box and only open it to change modes on the lights. They are not waterproof, only the strings are waterproif. When powered on at the same time, 3 overlapping strings set to the same fade time slowly get out of sync for a great twinkling effect.Photos taken while it was still light out, but after sunset.

Working great so far..
THIS IS NOT A PAID or received DISCOUNT ITEM REVIEW.I PAID for the item at list price. It is turning out good so far. Upon receiving, immediately plug in the entire prepacked, coiled LED bulb-ed wire to the power source n it appears all bulbs are lit. I did a quick check by stretching/spreading the wires out alittle section by section: no disconnect or broken wire. One other thing: I have yet to try it with the signal adapter box plug in together to test the remote. I did however, over a few days, tested it several different times to MAKE SURE there is no faulty unlit bulbs or damaged wire. I have yet to 'recoil' the whole wire onto a cylinder roll to prevent the initiate tangle that WILL DEFINITELY RESULT IF YOU TRY just opening n uncoiling the wire to start your project. Many reviewers said to do this before u start decorating with the wire. I firmly agree n think this is totally reasonable, given, the other brand name sold this item at a higher price just cause they did that part already. So really:Great value n totally works! Can't wait to start my holiday decor soon...

Great lights
I love these lights so much I am back for more. For the record, I bought them at full price, did not receive anything in return for a review or anything like that.I have a set from last year that do not have a remote, you just plug them in to turn them on. These, with the remote, are great. I like the dimmable feature and that I can leave the remote in an accessible place and not have to deal with the cord.As with any wire lights, be very careful as you put them up because once they tangle, you are done for. I was careful to unroll them into place from the coil they came in, rather than to unroll them first and then try to hang them. I made that mistake with my other set and untangling them was a true test of patience.I don't know about longevity yet and that is my main concern, if they die quickly I will come back and edit this review. But so far, they look great and the dimmer works beautifully.
