Artist Paint Brush Set (6 Pc. Flat Tip) for Acrylic, Oil or Watercolor- Assorted Sizes

The talent is in the artist not the brush; a good brush is a definite bonus. This review is for 6 Piece Flat Tip Artist Paint Brush Set. First, the handle is very long on these brushes! The handle alone is the length of piece of paper. The bristles are course. They do not lie down a super smooth line. The brushes arrive very hard. I used some brute force to play with them until they were soft. One they would move a bit freely, 'feathered' them with my fingers and rubbed them against my palm as I was watching TV. Several minutes and I had collected a fair amount of loose bristles on my lap. This was disappointing to me. Reminded me of the cheap brushes I get to use with polyurethane. Brushes come in size: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11. The 11 is the width of my pinky and the 1 is about the width of the Q-tip cotton part. I can see there could be great value in these brushes for use on rustic looking projects, but sure you would be happy with them for painting the MonaLisa. I purchased these brushes at a reduced price in exchange for an honest review. Honestly; these were not the fine quality I was hoping for, but I am sure I will find a use for them. I would not gift these to my 'real' artist friends.

These are sturdy brushes that seem to be of high quality and will work well for our purposes. My only complaint was that there was some glue on the bristles of a couple brushes when we received them, so there may be some quality control issues. If that were not the case, these would have received 5 stars. They are a nice set of varied use brushes that will get some good use at our house. I received a discount on this product for my fair and honest opinion.

Terrible brushes. May useful for distressing something, but it leaves a very rough finish. Very stiff to work with.

I purchased these for the kids. They are acceptable flats, but these are not artist's quality brushes. They will be fine for crafting and othernormal uses. I received a discount on this item for review.

Great product & price, using with watercolors

I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest review:I do a lot of painting, I pain some things and larger things. This set comes with a variety of brushes to fit my needs for my painting projects! The bristles are nice and stiff and soften slightly once wet. They make very nice strokes and I will be buying again!

I absolutely adore these brushes. I am an avid painter and these brushes have taken a lot of abuse, but thus far the bristles have really held up. I use it mainly for acrylic painting. A must have for painters.Disclaimer: received product at discounted price for honest unbiased opinion.
