Favorite "Crazy" Colors of Many Brands I've Tried
Overall I give Adore 5/5 stars, but if I were to break it down by the colors I have tried, I would rate them individually:Pink Rose: 5Violet Gem: 5 million (favorite dye maybe ever)Lavender: 2Dark Chocolate: 4The Rose, Violet, and Lavender were applied to bleached hair. Pink Rose and Violet Gem are beautifully saturated and keep their vibrancy way better than other brands of "crazy" colors, and I've tried many, MANY brands! While fading is very minimal, it is also even and the colors looked pretty even as I tried to remove them to try other colors. Both colors "bled" slightly at every wash, but somehow didn't show much visible fading and did not transfer to clothes, towels, or pillowcases. The Lavender, however, never even showed up on my hair. In fact, it hardly even "toned" my hair when I tried it on freshly bleach-bathed hair after the Magenta.Currently, I have the bottom third of my hair colored with the Dark Chocolate. This was not done on a bleached base: my hair is naturally dark strawberry blonde and I've been coloring it a lighter strawberry blonde, so it has been lifted slightly. I was hoping for a rich, dark brown, which it kind of is... but more accurately it's purple. The dye itself looks purple, it turns the shower water a silvery lavender, in the sunlight it's purple... so I guess it's purple-brown, not what I'd expect from the name. Still, it looks really nice and rich, isn't transferring, and while it's fading faster than Magenta or Violet Gem, it's still slow enough not to be a maintenance nightmare. If you're contemplating a "weird" hair color, this is the brand I would recommend above all others with the caveat that pastel colors are just difficult all around. I'll be trying Darkest Brown next in place of the Dark Chocolate.

Dark Chocolate brown
I bought dark chocolate brown. If you are looking for a dark, violet based brown, this is the one you want. There is a definite purple undertone in this dye, it is just gorgeous. One bottle was plenty for my medium/long hair. I followed the instructions on the bottle (shampooed with head and shoulders shampoo, no conditioner before dying). I left it on a bit longer then the bottle said. My hair is so shiny and beautiful. I usually lose a lot of hair when I dye it but not with Adore. My hair was salon dyed a similar color prior but was horribly faded. It isn't as vibrant on my roots but still took great to them.Update: washed out after 4-5 washes. Which isn't aweful if you are looking for something pretty temporary I suppose. But it is advertised to last much longer so I changed the rating to 4 instead of 5.

Decent for blending grays but had a pinkish hue.
As other reviewers have said, this product is thin and can be drippier than other hair coloring. I used the "dark chocolate" color and my hair has a pink tinge to it at the root line. I assume there is a fair amount of red in this dark brown color and this must the "red burn" that colorists try so hard to avoid. As a home user with gray hair, I'm stymied as to how to avoid that. However, if looking for a product to blend grays, not cover them, this seems to do the job decently. I am moving from covering my gray hair 100% with permanent color to more gently blending the gray coming in. My regrowth line looks much less distinct then before I used this, which is at least something. Perhaps I will try again with a different dark brown in this color line.

Great product. I've been using it for years.
Adore is my favorite semi-perm hair color. One of the things I like the best is if you open the bottle and look at the color you will see exactly what color your hair will be once it is done. It lasts longer if you leave it in to process longer, and it washes out slowly (unless you use harsh shampoo). I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. Quick and easy shopping and shipping!

Not as dark as expected
i wanted some contrast and variety in the various colors in my hair, and my first Adore color (hot pink) was lovely ... starts out strong and takes quite a while to fade out ... but this is "dark" only in the bottle. When i put this on the dark parts of my hair, it is not noticeable at all and, when i put it on the light parts, it almost immediately goes to pale, pinky beige. I would hate to see how the black turns out, but i will only imagine - certainly not going to try it.

I've used other colors by adore and I've liked them all
I purchased this in the dark chocolate color. I've used other colors by adore and I've liked them all. The dark chocolate is a dark purple based brown. It fades to a purpley red after about 3 weeks. It's a really pretty color, it does tend to bleed but it does not stain.

Not that great
I really wanted to like this brand of hair colour because of all the good things Ive heard about it. I should have just went with what I'm used to....brands like Special Effects and Punky. My hair felt dried out and the color came out very dark. ( I was going for a tint ) I don't like the smell either. I know how to use semi permanents, I've been using it for years. My hair is naturally dark brown at the roots with very medium light brown bleached ends. The colors still did not show that well and most of it washed away but left the ends too dark, uneven and just ugly. I bought #71 and #109 .

Actually this does give very good coverage but I have developed an allergry to it
Actually this does give very good coverage but I have developed an allergry to it. As it washes out it turns the hair green.
