WARNING: I have just taken delivery of a second kettle. The first one died of abuse. I didn't read the fine print. If you boil water then push button immediately after, the kettle gets overheated and burns out in a short period of time. This is the way of any appliance that heats to a high degree. (e.g. my coffee bean roaster cannot be used twice in one day.) The booklet warns against it. I did not read it. Under normal use the kettle is fast, sturdy, and simple to use. This time around I will fill only to the level I need. The person who recommended the first one to me has had hers for 5 years and it is as good as new. She read the instructions. If you read this review you are looking to buy a kettle. I say buy this one and enjoy!

I really like this kettle, but seem to have the same problem that someone else reported - that is, I burned it out by using it in rapid succession. 1 year old and it just died. I'm very disappointed it's no longer available because I'd get it again and be more careful this time. But, may just go back to stove top.

I LOVE this tea pot! The blue light is fabulous!! It heats quickly and stays hot for quite awhile. I originally ordered the cute Smeg tea pot for way more money, but when I got it, I was so dissatisfied with the plastic cheap look and feel that I promptly returned it and ordered this one. You will not regret this purchase. What a great buy.Update: It just died. Lasted one year almost to the day. I use it daily.

Efficient, attractive. I finally bought one for my office, which makes it easy to offer tea to my students.
