A classic. Not to be missed if you are interested in the art last 30 years.The Whitney owns an original edition of the slideshow, set ti music. They bring it out and play it from time to time --trust me wait in line --  Nan Goldin: The Ballad of Sexual Dependency see it

Terrible condition. I had to send it back.But it was not any trouble with that. The dealer was OK to take it back but the description of the book????OH my god. The dealers should be more careful and give us more details.

Nan Golden achieves in this book a thing that is very difficult for most photographers to do well. She makes pictures of great power because they are connected to deep personal experiences, good moments and bad. The bridge of the gap between subject and photographer in herself helps bridge the gap between photograph and viewer.Good Shtuff.l

If you want to have an idea about what New York look like in the seventies.. this is the right book

A good book. The photos are interesting and surprising. They provide a different perspective to the author's world and environment during those years. It's also a good introduction to the work of Nan Goldin.

Photographe incontournable dans la photographie contemporaine ! De la même veine que larry Clark mais en plus autobiographique. A avoir absolument dans sa bibliothèque.

I saw Nan Goldin's exhibition at the Tate Modern 3 or so years ago and wished I had bought the book then. The photographs have a clarity of production which makes the subjects seem extraordinarily real. I feel I am just about in the room. The subjects of the photographs are stark and unflinching, They are not always easy or comfortable to look at however they are compelling to look at and I have not tired of looking at them nor will I do so.Delivery of the book was quick and in good condition

Classic - just a shame you can't buy 'the ballad' anymore as it seems out of print?

Ho visto questa mostra al MoMa di New York e non potevo non comprare questo libro. Nonostante non abbia la rilegatura (Costa molto meno ed è comunque bellissimo!) la qualità è ottima. Nan Goldin ha fatto un lavoto eccelso!

La più grande fotografa intimista. Questo è il suo volume più noto, portato anche sul video
